The projects aims to illustrate what severe amusia patients experience upon hearing music. It taps on the contrast between music as a pleasant experience, but instead is unpleasurable to these individuals.

Michael Deforge uses many vibrant colours in his work, which is something that

OJETEFLAVOUR I was also quite inspired by his works that was done in greyscale, so I would definately consider it as one of the colour scheme for my banner. Again, the details in the works is something that I want to incoperate into my own style and portfolio.

INSTRUMENTS
METAL BANDS
As my concept is to make classical musical instruments into metal band
Next, I took a look at metal band members and the type of aestethics that they

So the first step, I did quite a few sketches on my book to test out what works

However, I opted to make it look like monsters, similar to the works done by my inspirations.

The style of the skull does not really suit the rest of the banner
AMUSIA
Since the main features are moved down, the top part of the banner looks empty instead.
Initially, the instruments where meant to be surrounded by vines, again inspired by rock bands aesthetics
I like how the Þre and spikes are more visible in this composition
Patterns were inspired by rock bands, who uses zebra prints in their designs
For this version, I decided to move the skull down as KB suggested that due to the length and height of the banner, people will naturally look from bottom to up
BANNER LAYOUT
The third development is expanding the jaw to Þt all the instruments into the mouth of the skull.
PATTERN, ART, DESIGN & ARCHITECTURE
I changed the skull into something which would suit the style of the instruments more.
To showcase the of amusia patients listening to music, the spikes were shifted above it and Þre was added too, showing some sort of explosion.
However, the top and bottom portion still looks like there is room for improvement. It looks not right.
As it is a skull, I then decided to have drool that drips out of the mouth. To have a balance bewtween and top and bottom portion,

During the class critique, Miss Ina also pointed out that the skull area looks too empty in contrast to the rest of the banner. After which I decided to add a bain and also, eyes

Made the brain pop of out the skull to push the concept and design further. Also canged the colours of the spikes and Þre to bring a balance to the entire design.

MEDIA ART WALL
MEDIA ART WALL After playing around with different layouts for the media art wall, I decided to stick with the design below. I then decided to plan what kind of movement would suit the banner best in the wall. The text below was what I had in mind, before officially getting down to executing it into AE.
