IGA Victorian State Conference 2023
The IGA Victorian State Conference was held 27 February to 3 March 2023 at the Sofitel Noosa Hotel on the Sunshine Coast and attended by over 160 delegates.
Day one started with a visit to the Noosa Heads Distillery where a Gin Tasting and Distillery tour was conducted, followed by a cabanas and poolside welcome dinner. Day two opened with Metcash Victorian GM, Rob Pistritto, setting out the business sessions and events.
Keynote speaker, Mark McCrindle, a social researcher and futurist with an international following who is recognised as a leader in tracking emerging issues and researching social trends, opened the meeting with a comprehensive presentation on “Fuelling Growth in an Inflammatory Environment”. This was followed by store visits to IGA Peregian Beach, IGA Mooloolah and Seasons IGA Noosa.
Day three comprised of presentations outlining future strategic plans, including Channel update, Networking of the Future and Ask Ross and Logistics and Project Arrow updates.
On Day four the group attended the Australian Zoo, where a comprehensive session on Sustainability with GM Marketing, Fiona Johnston, detailing the projects being undertaken by Metcash to secure their future sustainability.
The conference concluded with a farewell Gala Dinner by the Noosa River.
