Amagansett Art The Amagansett Historical Association presents “Amagansett Art: Across the Years.” The exhibition presents the work of artists who have lived and worked in Amagansett or have used Amagansett as their inspiration. Elliott Erwitt, Sue Gussow, Toby Haynes, Elizabeth Levine, Claire Nivola, Joe Pintauro, Ken Robbins, Anne Seelbach, and Michelle Stuart. ‘Starr’-Studded Music Fest At WHBPAC

The first annual East End Music & Arts Festival is at the Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center this Friday at 8 PM. Now Playing Honeymoon (R) A young couple decides to spend their honeymoon in a remote lake cottage and that, as always, is a recipe for disaster. In this case the bride, Rose Leslie (“Game Of Thrones”) begins wandering around at night, acting weird. Hubby, played by Harry Treadaway, suspects something sinister lurks in the woods. After all, there is always something sinister in the woods The Longest Week (PG-13) Justin Bateman stars as a rich thirty something who sponges off his parents and lives in their swanky hotel. In the course of a week he gets cut off by the parents, moves in with his buddy, and falls in love. The movie is something of a cross between a Wes Anderson and Woody Allen film, except director Peter Glantz doesn’t have the vision or technique those masters possess. As a result, we quickly become bored with these spoiled, pampered characters. Billy Crudup, Olivia Wilde, and Jenny Slate co-star.

The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby (R) And so the Oscar season opens. Jessica Chastain gets an early leg up for a Best Actress nod in Ned Benson’s latest, which is in reality a combination of his two previous films, Him and Her. Chastain and James McAvoy play a married couple trying to regroup after a tragedy rips them apart. It’s emotionally wrenching and the cast, which includes William Hurt and Viola Davis, is superb. The November Man (R ) A retired CIA agent code named The November Man, whose specialty is killing people,is lured out of retirement to protect a witness, who is, of course, beautiful (Olka Kurylenko). It’s no coincidence Pierce Brosnan, a former James Bond in the flicks, is cast in the title role as it adds cache to this contrived spy movie. You know the subplots: a mole inside the agency and a former protégé turned bad make things rather difficult. From the best selling novels by Bill Granger.
