MEDIA KIT 2011 – 2012 2

FROM THE EDITOR Indesign is now over ten years old – enough time to mature into the strongest magazine of its kind in the southern hemisphere. But then it’s pretty unique, a kind of one-stop shop covering architecture, interior design, product design and all the people who produce it. We have stuck to our core mission, though, which is to offer comprehensive coverage and analysis of commercial interiors and hospitality design. Indesign was the first magazine to do this and remains the only magazine to do it in depth. In fact, over the last two years we have ramped up our coverage to reveal both the end result and the process which leads to it. By doing this we have been able to make Indesign an even more invaluable resource to everyone in the business, from specifiers and designers to business people looking for new directions in the workplace. The secret of success for Indesign has been its ability to constantly renew itself – in its look and contents, but also in its scope, because we now dedicate space to New Zealand and South-East Asia, as well as regular examples of best practice from other parts of the world. Despite the gfc, the magazine has continued to register steady growth in sales, especially in New Zealand and Singapore. And I am proud to say it is now one of the most highly regarded magazines of its kind in the world. PAUL MCGILLICK Editorial Director, Indesign Publishing
