BESGLAS SINGAPORE HAS UNDERGONE A CORPORATE REBRANDING TO CELEBRATE ITS REPOSITIONING AS A HOME SOLUTIONS PROVIDER For years, Besglas Singapore has been a trusted name for quality doors and modular wardrobe and organisation systems. The company’s range of products includes the popular MOVI door and the foldable EZI door. Not only are the doors made from high quality materials and hardware, Besglas also transforms the conventional fixtures into glamorous works of art. As part of its strategy to improve itself and its services to customers, Besglas Singapore has undergone a corporate rebranding exercise to propel them into the future. The complete makeover aims to take the company further, with a brand new slogan, product ranges, and even a creative collaboration with a design consultancy. The official unveiling of the rebranded Besglas Singapore took place during the prestigious Saturday In Design event at Park Mall. The makeover also coincided with the launch of Besglas Ximula Nero series. The modular wardrobe and organising system comes in black components, exuding classiness and stylish designs. The Ximula system gives off a timeless and elegant look, comprising of panels, shelves and rods swathed in a deep black that immediately infuses the home with an instant sense of chic classiness. the years, Besglas Singapore has transformed conventional fixtures and fittings around the home into eye-catching masterpieces, and the Ximula system continues to impress with its all-black façade. This Besglas event also marks the first collaboration between the Besglas Singapore and design firm MOMO + Partners. As the official design consultant, MOMO + Partners created a show-stopping installation constructed from black plywood. This setup showcases the versatility and functionality of the outstanding Ximula system by mimicking a mock
house. From the living room to the bedroom to the kitchen, the designers recreated an entire home using black plywood with white “chalk” outlines. The mock house showcases the hybrid nature of the Ximula system, and how it can be easily integrated into any room of the house. Whether it’s a console shelf in the living room, a display cabinet in the kitchen or the wardrobe in the bedroom, the Besglas Singapore and MOMO + Partners collaboration managed to fully present the versatility and functionality of the Ximula modular system.

ost homeowners know exactly what they want when they engage an interior designer. The family staying in this condominium penthouse however, completely bucked the trend. Instead of collecting magazine cut-outs and Internet printouts, the couple and their two kids had no preferences for the design of their new home. Instead, they invited the Ciseern designers to visit them at their old residence so she could study their lifestyle.
“They’re really very nice people,” one of the designers says. “They left the design of the new house completely up to me. The husband had a few requests, but he never insisted and was always open to suggestions.” COLOUR COORDINATE One of these suggestions was the colour palette to use in the house. The family visited a geomancer for guidance, and was

he owners of this condominium apartment have previously cultivated a successful working relationship with the team from Design Rebirth. So it was only natural that they returned to the design rm when they wanted to renovate their new home. Now that the homeowners have moved up in life, they felt that it was time to relook into their lifestyle and “upgrade” their home accordingly. Designers Khoon Wah and Victor Loh came up with a concept that would exemplify a higher, more elegant standard of living that would reect the young homeowners’ lifestyles and taste levels.
THE CHOICE OF FURNITURE REFLECTS A MORE SOPHISTICATED TASTE THAT’S BEFITTING OF THE HOMEOWNERS.
SUBTLE SOPHISTICATION The three-room apartment now boasts a sleek sophistication that is boldly chic and yet tastefully understated. High prole designer furniture make a strong, adding to the sense of rened opulence that emanates from this home. Designer Khoon Wah reveals that he went on shopping trips with the homeowner to help pick out the furniture pieces. “The owners have a really specic taste in furniture, so we went to stores that offer the likes of their expectations, such as Space and Dream.” The complement of streamlined interiors and coveted furniture sets the tone for the home, resulting in a subtle glamour that permeates the rooms. In the living room, a monochromatic blend of black and white creates a strong and stylish ambience. The engineered wood oor – which runs throughout the entire home – lends a soft, grounded feel to this space. This is then offset by black veneer that covers the entire back wall, and a large part of the opposite wall. The choice of furniture and materials in this house – engineered wood and veneer instead of laminates
