2. KEY FINDINGS From 2007 to 2014, the UK wooden office furniture market showed mixed dynamics. A significant drop in 2009 (-35%) was followed by recovery growth in 2010-2011 that gave way to a decline by 12% in 2013. In 2014, the market for wooden office furniture grew to 526 million EUR. China and Poland were the main suppliers of wooden furniture of a kind used in offices into the UK, with a combined share of 27% of total exports in 2014. However, the fastest growing suppliers were Lithuania (+33.8% per year) and Turkey (+19.7% per year) in total exports from 2007 to 2014. Poland strengthened its position in the UK export structure, from 2% in 2007 to 11% in 2014. In 2014, the main destinations of wooden furniture imports were Ireland (28%), the Netherlands (8%) and France (7%). The share exported to the Netherlands increased (+6 percentage points), while the share sent to Ireland illustrated negative dynamics (-6 percentage points). The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
