The presidents of two world record organizations - the World Records Union (WorldKings) and the World Records Association (WRA) reached Vietnam to attend the 52nd Meeting of Vietnamese Record Holders held in Ho Chi Minh City recently. The program took place with many activities under the common goal of ‘Together with the community of Vietnamese record holders’ to promote trade and sales globally and honour the record holders. The World Records Union Council officially awarded the Certificates of Commendation to senior leaders of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Record Association and the Vietnam Record Organization for the development of WorldKings’ Global Records.
The glittering ceremony was organized on May 20, 2023, under the aegis of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Records Association and the Vietnam Records Organization. On behalf of the Organizing Committee, Professor, Academician Hoang Quang Thuan, Chairman of the Founding Council of the Vietnam Record Organization beat the drum to kick-start the record festival. The Vietkings has set 2980 Vietnamese records so far in all fields in 63 provinces and cities. Out of this, there are 1032 individual records and 1948 records of units, organizations and enterprises. The nominations successfully established 85 world records and 106 Asian records.
Dr Biswaroop Roy Chowdhury, President of World Records Union (WorldKings) and Editor-in-Chief, India Book of Records (IBR), was the special guest from India, who presented certificates of commendation to the dignitaries. Addressing the gala event, Dr Biswaroop Roy Chowdhury said, “I am privileged to be a part of this illuminating felicitation ceremony. This is really a memorable occasion for the community. I congratulate the Council of World Records Union (WorldKings) for recognizing the extraordinary performers from among the Vietnam Record Association and VietKings.”
