Shri Ram Halwa in Hanuman Kadhai
To mark the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of Lord Ram Lalla in Ayodhya, Chef Vishnu Manohar successfully set a new record by preparing 7000 kg of ‘Shri Ram Halwa’ for devotees. The record-making attempt took place at Shri Mahalakshmi Jagadamba Sansthan temple at Koradi, Nagpur on January 22, 2024. The record was mentioned in the India Book of Records and the Asia Book of Records simultaneously titled as the ‘maximum quantity of dry fruit suji halwa prepared in one single cauldron (Kadhai) and served’. The halwa was distributed as a prasad to various social organizations and over 1.5 lakh
devotees gathered at the temple to watch the live telecast of the Pran Pratishtha ceremony in Ayodhya.
The halwa was prepared in a giant pot called the ‘Hanuman Kadhai’, which was later shifted permanently to Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh. It took over 12 hours to prepare the halwa, using 700 kg ghee, 700 kg semolina, 1000 kg sugar, 215 kg dry fruits, 22 kg cardamom powder, 12 kg saffron powder, 4500-liter water, and 2100 bananas. More than 1,000 litres of ghee was brought from Tirupati Tirumala Devsthanam for making the halwa. The preparation began at 7 am with BJP state president Chandra Shekhar Bawankule emptying the first tin of desi ghee into the

giant kadhai. Later, members of Vishnu Manohar’s team started adding other ingredients. Deputy chief minister, Mr. Devendra Fadnavis congratulated Chef Manohar, saying he was proud of this achievement. The India Book of Records adjudicator Mr. Manoj Tatwadi verified the claim and announced the record. He presented the medals and the certificates to Celebrity Chef Vishnu Manohar.
Shri Mahalaxmi Jagdamba Mata Mandir is a Hindu temple located in Nagpur, Maharashtra. The temple is dedicated to the Hindu goddess Jagdamba Mata, also known as Mahalaxmi. The temple is a popular pilgrimage destination for devotees from across India and the world, and it is renowned for its spiritual significance and architectural beauty. This is one of the famous Devi temples in Vidarbha. There are 51 Shaktipeeths of Devi. The Koradi Devi Temple is considered one of the Shakti-peeths. On the occasion of Navratri, more than 50,000 lamps are lighted in the temple premises.
It is important to learn that Chef Vishnu Manohar, who already has several records to his name, planned to prepare the Shri Ram Halwa at three places -- Ramtek, Koradi, and Ayodhya, on different dates to celebrate the historic occasion of the consecration of Shri Ram Temple at Ayodhya. Chef Vishnu Manohar, who had participated in the Kar Seva during the Ramjanmabhoomi movement, developed the concept of ‘Kar Seva Se Pak Seva’ (from ‘Kar Seva’ to cooking service). This
included cooking a ‘Bhogichi Bhaji’, a special dish made with seasonal vegetables but without onion and garlic, and offered to the deity on the occasion of ‘Makar Sankranti’ and making a special cauldron (Hanuman Kadhai) of 15,000-litre capacity and weighing 1,700 kg. The Kadhai was made from steel used to prepare gates of dams. The Kadhai was taken from Nagpur to Ayodhya in a procession. The Kadhai started its journey to Ayodhya on January 23, 2024.

Nasal Congestion Awareness
Nasal congestion is a prevalent issue affecting 18.2 percent of the population in our country. Also called a stuffy nose, it is a feeling of fullness in the nose or face. Mass Recital of Bhagavad Geeta
22 India Book of Records | April 2024
Shrimad Bhagavad Geeta, one of the superlative spiritual scriptures in Indian philosophical tradition wherein the Vedic concept of ‘Vishwatama’ (Universal thought) is expressed, is beneficial to human beings. It talks about the ‘Geeta dharma’ (Religion of Geeta) and ‘Thought of the Universe’, and to make everybody aware of it, Geeta Dharma Mandal, a socio-cultural organization, based at Sadashiv Peth, Pune, is endeavoring for the last 100 years. The organization recently set the record for the maximum number of people reciting Bhagavad Geeta at a single venue. The event got recognition from the Asia Book of Records (ABR).
Geeta Dharma Mandal has a soulful and lifetime commitment to spread and imbibe the vital thought process of ‘Knowledge, Devotion, and Work-based living’ evolved by the Indian nationalism propagator, Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak from his famous book ‘Geeta Rahasya’ (the Secrets of Geeta). Geeta Dharma Mandal was founded in 1924 under the Societies Registration Act. Similarly, it is registered under the Mumbai Public Trust Act. The organization aims at promoting over all
progress of Indian nationalism and propagating Karmayoga as mentioned in Geeta. Its main focus has been on spreading the culture of Karmayoga, which emphasizes that work is worship.
The Mandal organizes an annual event in Pune on Geeta Jayanti. It comprises a Geeta Granth procession on the first day, followed by a Geeta Paath Mahayajna, where more than 500 people chant the complete Bhagavad Geeta in Sanskrit together. Around 1000 people recited all the 700 verses without looking at the scripture, while the rest of the participants read all the verses of the Shrimad Bhagavad Geeta. A total of 10,697 participants between the age group of 8 years to 85 years, trained by the experienced teachers of Geeta Dharma Mandal free of cost for the last 50 years, gathered at the SP College ground, Pune, and recited the Shrimad Bhagwad Geeta to celebrate the centenary year of Geeta Dharma Mandal. After verifying the claim, the Asia Book of Records adjudicator, Dr. Chitra Jain announced the record and honored the organizers with a medal and the record certificate.

We lose that smile as we grow up. Embrace the concept and live with a smile on your face. Good and bad can happen in life. Both should be included. Embrace others fully with all their peculiarities. Keep the balance of mind. Find out what other people’s motives are. People who do not make mistakes don’t get blamed for it. No one likes to be blamed. Learn to live happily in the present. Everyone loves you. Thanks to everyone who joined us on this journey of mindfulness and harmony! Let’s continue spreading positivity and peace throughout the world.”
Sri Sri talked about the practical aspects of dealing with life’s problems and explained the ways to achieve success in personal and professional life. He said, ‘Become like a dry leaf, make your life that way. Agree with what the Divine has provided for you. Float with the moment. Do not regret the past, do not anticipate the future. That is what all the enlightened masters say. Keep practicing on your own. When you feel you can’t do anymore, that it’s all so tiring, take rest. That’s why the places of enlightened masters are called ‘Ashrama’, where you come and get rid of your tiredness. ‘Shrama’ means effort and ‘Ashrama’ means the place where all the efforts loosen up. All tiredness, both mental and physical, vanishes.”

Crossing the Extreme Limits
Can an electric car withstand the hottest and coldest temperatures without any problem? To answer this query, the Turbocharged magazine of Pune, Maharashtra, decided to take the Hyundai IONIQ 5 electric car to India’s hottest border, Longewala in Rajasthan. This was something never done before, driving to India’s hottest border in extreme heat, in an electric car. This was attempted on May 4, 2023, since it was the hottest time of the year there. The climate control system was switched on the whole time since the temperature outside was well above 40 degrees Celcius. After conquering the hottest border, they drove the car to Siachen Base Camp, the northernmost point in
India open to civilians. The journey started from Delhi with stops in Ludhiana, Patnitop, Srinagar, Kargil, and Leh, before finally reaching the final destination on September 11, 2023. The vehicle returned to Delhi on September 18, 2023. The car was driven for 6,315 km overall and was charged for 27.5 hours.
Abhay Verma, who drove the car to the extreme conditions said, “From India’s hottest border in peak summers when air temperatures were close to 50 degrees, and then to India’s coldest border where temperatures dip below minus 50 degrees in winters, the car performed brilliantly well. It’s the first electric car from Hyundai and a revolutionary EV, one that’s made
38 India Book of Records | April 2024
enthusiasts across the world sit up and take notice. I have driven fast EVs but the way this one simulates the acceleration from a petrol engine is something I have never experienced before. The next car, the IONIQ 5 N, has many tricks up its sleeve like steering weight adjustment, differential settings, and more. The infotainment display integrates these options as part of the ‘N’ menu besides letting you choose from various racetracks, should you choose to hit one of them in the IONIQ 5 N.”
The attempt to cross two extreme temperature zones was rewarded by the India Book of Records for setting a record for the first electric car to reach India’s hottest and coldest international borders. It was a feat never done before by any electric vehicle in India. Dr. Chitra Jain, the India Book of Records adjudicator, verified the claim and then announced the record. She felicitated the team for this extraordinary attempt on October 20, 2023, at the Turbocharged Magazine office, 301, Sai Constructions, Bhau Patil Road, Pune, Maharashtra at a specially arranged function. The team was handed over a medal and a record certificate.
Abhay Verma concluded, “For this record attempt, I drove the Hyundai IONIQ 5, but I would say that the next version - IONIQ 5 N is unlike any other EV out there. It’s one that’s meant purely for having fun, without costing the moon, like German luxury performance EVs. I am convinced the IONIQ 5 N is one of the most desirable EVs today given its fun factor and how closely
it emulates the feel of a petrol sports car. This, while costing almost nothing to own and run, and also offering upwards of 300 km per charge depending on how you drive.”
The record for the ‘first electric car to reach India’s hottest and coldest international borders’ was established by the Turbocharged Magazine of Pune, Maharashtra. Driving the Hyundai IONIQ 5, Abhay Verma achieved this extraordinary feat.

Transplant Games Gain Momentum
The Heart Care Foundation hosted the Transplant Games in Kochi on December 9, 2023, bringing together organ donors and recipients, to show that a successful life after transplant is achievable. Another aim was to promote organ donation. Lulu Mall, Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium, and the Regional Sports Centre (RSC) jointly organized the event. The transplant games took place at the Regional Sports Centre. In collaboration with Kochi Corporation, GCDA, Lulu Group, Liver Foundation of Kerala (LIFOK), the Kerala State Youth Welfare Board, the Organ and Tissue Transplant Organization (K-SOTTO), and the Heart Care Foundation hosted the games.
The record for the largest gathering of transplant recipients, donors, and families of cadaveric organ donors, was set by Heart Care Foundation, Kochi, Kerala. Donors, recipients, and families of cadaveric donors from across the country participated in 10 events across three different venues in Kochi. The games which replicated the World Transplant Games 2023 held in Perth were supported by Kochi Metro and K-SOTTO -- a governmental body for donation. In the process, the Heart Care Foundation set a record under the India Book of Records (IBR). The adjudicator from the India Book of Records, Dr. Samir Das felicitated the organizers with a medal and a certificate.
According to the Heart Care Foundation, the games were open to anybody who had gone through an organ transplant, was a living donor, or was a family of a deceased donor. In addition to boosting the confidence and morale of organ recipients, the games also sought to recognize organ donors and their families. The chairman of the Heart Care Foundation, Dr. Jose Chacko Periappuram, said, “With the games, we aim to create sports and games as a testimonial for the possibilities of life after transplant and convince society that after a certain period, organ recipients can lead a normal life like others.”
A variety of indoor and outdoor sports were included such as badminton, swimming, table tennis, bowling, swimming, chess, and carrom. The age range for participants in the games was seventy years and above for both
recipients and donors. The organizers had said that each individual was limited to no more than three tournaments. Recipients were required to wait at least one year after transplant surgery before being eligible to compete. A medical certificate obtained from the surgical team was to be produced. Children and young people who had participated in the transplant games were treated to a unique ride in Kochi Metro on Children’s Day as a part of the festivities surrounding the games. A friendly football match was also part of the games.
Dr. Jose Chacko Periappuram, chairman of the Heart Care Foundation, said the idea of the Transplant Games originated after India sent a large delegation, comprising both organ donors and receivers, to the Perth Games in 2023. One of his patients, Dinoy Thomas, who had a heart transplant 10 years ago, was part of the Indian delegation, and Dr. Jo Joseph, a cardiologist from Kochi, was one of the doctors in the delegation. Dr. Jose said it was agreed that the first transplant games would be held in Kerala. The participants included both donors and receivers of kidney, liver, heart, and pancreas. He pointed out that there was a lull in organ donation in Kerala, but the Transplant Games was well-attended with enthusiastic responses from people.

Let every morning be the Hunza Morning
If you have decided to pick only one of my suggestions for the sake of your health, then take this suggestion:
Stop consuming tea specially, morning tea. The early morning tea makes the inner lining of your intestinal wall acidic, as after a long night of fasting your stomach is empty and craving for food. An acidic stomach on a regular basis is the single biggest cause of all kind of inflammatory and lifestyle diseases including arthritis, Diabetes etc.
How to stop craving of tea Switch to Hunza Tea
Hunza Civilization: Hunza people are the Indians living at extreme northwest of India in Hindu Kush range. They are known to be one of the world's healthiest civilizations, often living up to the age of 110 years.
How to prepare Hunza Tea (serves four)

* 2 gm Cinnamon (Dalchini)
