Youngest to Melodiously Elucidate the Bhagavad Gita

It is one of the most popular shlokas of Bhagavad Gita, which we have listened to while growing up. A shloka, which also inspired teenager Surbhi Muley to attain the stupendous feat of elucidating the whole of Bhagavad Gita shlokas in 6 hours and 17 minutes. She recited a total of 700 shlokas from 18 chapters of the Bhagavad Gita.

A student of the 10th standard from Jabalpur Surbhi loves to read Shrimad Bhagavad Gita, as she has a keen interest in understanding the universal truths showered by Lord Krishna through Bhagavad Gita.

Talking about her inspiration, she says, “My grandmother inspired me to understand the Bhagavad Gita. She has vast knowl-

edge in this field, and by watching her devotion towards the Bhagavad Gita, I was very much inspired to make this record.”

On the day of the record attempt, a jubilant and confident Surbhi melodiously elucidated the whole of Bhagwad Gita, mesmerizing both the audience and the adjudicator. It is not an easy feat to achieve. Her rigorous preparation for the past two years, with five hours of practice daily, helped her accomplish this record. Throughout her efforts, her family has been her pillar of strength. Surbhi’s parents, grandmother and sister, constantly motivated her to attempt the record.

Gleaming with hope, Surbhi shares her aim in life, “I aspire to spread the blessings of the Bhagavad Gita all over the world as it is a doctrine of universal truths and teaches the management of life. I will try to convert it into English and present it at the International level. In the future, I will try to relate the Medical Science with the Spiritual Science of the Bhagavad Gita.”
