A Tete-a-Tete with The Youngest Yogini of India By Sanjana Bhowmick
Vanya Sharma, a 3-year-old kid from Delhi, set the record for performing the maximum number of yoga poses. She performed 14 yoga poses including Bhujangasana, Chakrasana, Tadasana, Parvatasana, Trikonasana and Utkatasana. Talking to the India Book of Records, Vanya shares her dreams and aspirations with us.
2. Who inspired you for yoga? My Father Yoga Guru Shri Hemant Sharma. 3. What is your future goal with yoga? I want to be an inspiration for all young achievers. Who trains you for yoga? My father Yoga Guru Shri Hemant Sharma. 4. What is your profession? Youngest Yoga Instructor of young achievers. 5. What are your hobbies? Yoga, Dance and Art. 6. What inspired you to make this record? All the young students who train under my father,
representing India at various national and international levels and sport a medal around their neck. This imagery constantly motivates me to dream big. 7. What kind of support did you receive from your family? My family constantly supports and motivates me. 8. How many hours of training do you undergo? 1 to 1 ½ hour a day. 9. What is the next record you trying to achieve? To learn new yoga asanas and take the initiative to perform rhythmic yoga.
