Highlights From Radio Show to Book: A Moment of Science Has its Big Moment For more than 30 years, A Moment of Science has been answering questions about the world through a scientific perspective—anything from “Why does it hurt to hit our funny bone?” to “Can you really learn while you are asleep?” Now this WFIU radio show and podcast is the basis for a new book from A Moment of Science host and producer Don Glass. How the World Looks to a Bee and Other Moments of Science will be published by Indiana University Press on March 3. The book is a compilation of scripts from A Moment of Science, which Glass edited and adapted. The book answers science questions that arise on a daily basis. Despite the subject matter, no background in science is necessary to understand and enjoy the queries and explanations explored in the book. Readers of all ages can satisfy their curiosity about the science of everyday life— even if they only a moment to spare. How the World Looks to a Bee and Other Moments of Science will be available wherever books are sold.
