Plays, dances & competitions mark Hindi Diwas celebrations
Melbourne/Perth September 19 (Australia India News Newsdesk) The Consulate General of India, Melbourne, together with Sahitya Sandhya Melbourne, Hindi Niketan Melbourne, and Hindi Shiksha Sangh celebrated the Hindi Diwas recently. Those who participated in the celebrations comprised children and community members. The
talented school children from the Pataka Dance Group enacted Nritya Natika titled 'Ek ChidiyaAnek Chidiya'.
and honoured with certificates and prizes. Besides, consolation prizes were given to all other participants in the competition.
Also, the audience was enthralled by the cultural performance of Ishita Mandal's dance group and students from Lyndhurst Secondary College. The winners of the Hindi poem and essay competition were announced
Along similar lines, the Consulate General of India, Perth, in association with Hindi Samaj of WA, celebrated the Hindi Diwas recently. Children and other community members participated in the event. Scintillating
cultural performances were on display from students of Paathshala - Western Australian Hindi Language School, and other children in Hindi. The community seniors stressed the importance of Hindi, particularly abroad, which was presented in the form of a short skit written by Abhishek Mishra, directed by Malvika Mishra and enacted by
local artists, including from Uttar Pradesh Awadh Manch WA and Hindi Samaj of WA. Also, Dr Renu Sharma, Abhishek Mishra and Kushal Kushlendra made literary presentations on the occasion. Consul General Amarjeet Singh Takhi exhorted the community to enhance their efforts to promote Hindi among the wider Indian and WA community.
