Our vision for Greater Springfield is driven by innovation. We are also conscious of making a lasting and positive contribution to both Greater Springfield and the broader Southeast Queensland community. Philanthropy and promoting social and environmental sustainability are integral to the way we do business. At Greater Springfield, this commitment is delivered through partnerships with highly respected corporations, the Federal Government, State Government and Ipswich City Council. Springfield City Group has, for 30 years, partnered with the best. We will continue to seek out partnerships to progress this new city in areas of education, health care services, and other employment generating industries. We are open to imagining what is possible. We seek to identify and open up new opportunities. We look to solve challenges innovatively, scientifically, and ethically. We actively seek to learn from the best and to set new benchmarks in all we do. Our story In 1992, Maha Sinnathamby AM and Bob Sharpless acquired almost 3000 hectares of land on the doorstep of Brisbane with a clear vision: to create a master-planned city from scratch. It would be the first city in Australia since the national capital was constructed. The dream was so big it needed an Act of Parliament. In 1997, Queensland’s Parliament voted unanimously for legislation to make Springfield into the state’s newest city. Seven prime ministers and six premiers have played a role in the city’s growth. www.indianews.com.au

The Federal Government’s commitment of $7 billion to the delivery of the Games is the catalyst to elevate lifestyles and ambitions through improving the health and wellbeing of our communities. “The redevelopment of existing sporting venues and creation of new sporting venues will be both accelerated and amplified due to the success of securing the Games. “The Games will be the largest event that has ever been held in Queensland. It is the only event that brings the entire world together in peaceful competition, bringing hope for a better future. “Our young athletes of today, may be our Olympic and Paralympic heroes in 2032, competing on the global stage, from a place called Ipswich.”
