Education-Centric Development
The goal of this project is to propose an urban design solution for a post-disaster neighborhood--Lower Ninth Ward, New Orleans. Due to its historic reasons and Hurricane Katrina in 2005, this place is currently quite blighted and nearly abandoned by the city of New Orleans. Despite its current disadvantages such as an underdeveloped economic structure and poor infrastructure, this proposal starts with its pre-Katrina strengths and regards education as a great catalyst. To achieve an Educational-Centric Development, this proposal combines several scenarios to create an urban design solution, and chooses two important spots for site designs.

Untangled RiNO South Platte River, Denver | 2015
This project is located on the northwest part of River North(RiNO) Art District in Denver. As an area between the South Platte River and Five Points neighborhood, it has a couple of issues including physical disconnection, industrial land illness, underutilized waterfront, etc. This proposal starts at urban design scale, with strategies of making new connections, reclaiming the riverfront, repurposing industrial buildings and other solutions, followed by a site design of two riverfront blocks next to 31st street . This site design reclaims the community green space for residents, artists and tourists.

Hexagonal Garden LSU Campus Outdoor Seating Area Design | 2016
|Project Narrative This project is located in the LSU campus, an outdoor area in front of Doran Hall and bordered by two sidewalks. This site originally has several big Southern live oak trees. We were asked to design an outdoor space with more varieties of planting, some seatings, and a BBQ table to meet the various needs of the students and the professors. This proposal gives opportunities for different kinds of seatings, a pathway, and a rain garden to collect rainwater overflow.
