CERAMICS The Indianapolis Art Center’s Ceramics department offers ceramics classes for all skill levels — from brand-new students to well-fired professionals. DIGITAL ARTS Our Digital Arts department boasts all the hardware and software you need to grow as an artist of the virtual realm. Working with iMac computers, our students harness the power of technology to discover new frontiers in art and design. MONDAY FINE METAL CASTING 2 Embark on your next casting adventure and learn how to make silicon molds to create multiples of cast jewelry pieces. Instruction begins with creating a mold from a cast piece then planning, and cutting your rubber mold to release the original. You will then inject wax into the mold and cast multiples. A unique, reproducible jewelry collection awaits!
Gain more experience working with enamel as you learn the Champlevé technique. Your will experiment with vinyl stencils, etch the designs into metal, then wet-pack the depressions with enamel.
