WAX CRYPTOCURRENCY BASED TICKETING

DESIGN PORTFOLIO

TYPE OF WORK: FREELANCE PROJECT (ANTARAAGAM STUDIO)

The scope of this project was to design a ticketing website in which the tickets would be NFTs (Non Fungible Tokens). The transactions on this website would be WAX cryptocurrency based. Wax blockchain is one of the fastest platforms for crypto based transactions.

NFTs or Non Fungible tokens have been currently associated with artwork. Nowadays NFT tweets are also getting sold. NFT ticketing is a new concept where the tickets would have unique identity and therefore the blackmarket could be controlled

------- 05

THE PROBLEM At the moment basically every ticket that is issued worldwide is non-custodial and requires a significant amount of trust to use with confidence. Especially when you buy a ticket from a secondary market like Ticketswap or Viagogo. Ticket owners need to trust/be certain that: The QR code-ticket is valid to begin with (and that the meta data is correct) The previous owner of the ticket has resold the ticket once (trust you are the only owner) The ticket was priced correctly/fairly/honestly The ticketing market is highly inefficient. Distrust is rampant. Middlemen rejoice!

a blockchain-based smart ticketing solution that can be used by everybody who needs to issue tickets(NFTs) in an honest and transparent way.

NFT Tickets : Smart tickets that allow the event organisers to communicate with the ticket holder, These tickets will be indivisible, meaning that it can only be held by 1 address at the same time. This ensures that whoever owns a certain NFT will be the only one to decrypt the QR code, thus non custodial ownership of the ticket asset.

------- 07

SOLUTION

Defi Event Financing : To Give insight to real time data, A)Event organizers will be able to easily pre-finance their events. (Something they desperately crave. B)Investors will be able to invest in events of their choice, at a risk & reward level that they feel comfortable with.

P2P Ticket Marketplace : Merge the primary and secondary market ( Gives organiser more revenue) Everyone who owns a TICKETDEX TICKET ticket will be able to trade it with another “peer”. This will happen in a closed and regulated ecosystem. This means that certain rules can be set by the event organizer. For example: • The ticket can be sold for only x% profit • x% of the trade profit goes to the event organizer • a certain trading fee goes to the event organizer • Will make scalping impossible, enabling true ownership of tickets.

SOLUTION SCENARIO

Issue self aware ticket (festivals, events, transportation, offices etc.)To ensure validity, ticket assets should be aware whom owns them.

2

Allow ticket issuers to take control over the secondary marketTo protect their fans, maximize profit or both. GET only provides the tools.

CRYPTOCURRENCY TRADING WEBSITE

DESIGN PORTFOLIO

TYPE OF WORK: FREELANCE PROJECT (ANTARAAGAM STUDIO)

The scope of this project was to design a website to buy sell and trade cryptocurrency. The target was to make a website that was simple, fast and easy to use. The recent times have seen a rising demographics in cryptocurrency trading.

Most users earlier were either software geeks or gamers but now this is not the case. Nowadays people with basic knowledge of crypto have also started trading.

PROBLEM DISCOVERY

COINSWAP

1

2

After a competititve research it was seen that most crypto websites were very intimidating to look at for a first time user. There were a lot of unknown information which could make a new user leave immidiately. Websites like ‘1inchexchange’ belonged to this category COINSWAP

Most users who are introduced to Cryprocurrency trading are either very intimidated or have trust issues about the websites. Also because Crypto currency was allways associated with scams people tend to fear it.

RESEARCH

3

The Analysis showed that trading information like’Top Tokens’ ‘Liquidity’ and ‘Volume’ information needed to be handy while swapping. Also there were various types of transaction charges which was levied after all the steps and some users backed out at the last moment. Also there were other websites like ‘Uniswap’ which were overly simple or lacking important information for trading.

IDEATION

4

The analysis led to the conclusion that sites have to look simple, but they cannot afford to loose important trading data. There must be the possibility to toggle amount of information that is seen. New users must get the feel that cryptocurrency trading is easy and everyone can do it. Hidden charges that are levied at the end must be informed at the begining so that the user feels more secure

DESIGN PORTFOLIO

TYPE OF WORK: FREELANCE PROJECT (ANTARAAGAM STUDIO)

The scope of this project was to design a brochure and photograph the products of a honey brand startup. The range of products included different varities of infused honey with spices, bathing bars and edibles.

The concept behind the project was to take inferences from the product itself and derive the colors from nature. Honey shop products are organic and without chemicals so all products were photographed in natural outdoor surroundings in order to capture the essence of the product.

------- 019

Each and every product had its own story so different natural settings for each product were chosen. Various props have been used in the photographs to compliment each products differenty. Once all these photos were clicked they were color corrected to match the same theme for the brochure

The type of products include infused honey, bathing soaps and energy bars. The idea for the brochure was to highlight the aspect of nature and introduce various flavours of honey which look appealing to the people.

STUDY CUM RESEARCH THESIS

UNDERGRADUATE THESIS

TITLE: STUDY OF PARAMETRICISM, A NEW ‘STYLE’ OF ARCHITECTURE

FINAL YEAR THESIS : NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY, RAIPUR

DESIGN PORTFOLIO

The Design cum Research thesis aimed at Study of an emerging new style of architecture characterised as parametricism. The Study involved the evolution of the various so called ‘styles’ of architecture that brought about parametricism and using this style to create a museum of contemporary art.

Parametricism as the name suggests involves various parameters that influence a design. With advanced computational design and digital techniques it is possible to control those parameters to influnce the design. Various iterations after tweaking these parameters can be generated and the best viable solution can be implemented.

In this project the initial challenge was to accumulate the data related to parametricism. In 2012 online data was scarce related to parametric explorations. I visited the Digital Architecture Dept at BNCA, Pune to collect data. Also I met various mentors about whom I found out online and had studied related to this subject.

------- 031

Considering an example lets take data set like a sun exposure map that maps radiation intensities a façade is exposed to during a given time period can become the data input for the adaptive modulation of a sun shading system.

UNDERGRADUATE THESIS

Parametricism is the theory of complexity inspired by the self organizing process of nature. Instead of assembling all rigid geometric forms parametricism brings malleable components into a dynamic play of mutual responsiveness and contextual adaptation.High performance, informational richness, easy navigation and thus quick ,effective participation in the fast growing society

EVOLUTION OF PATTERNS IN ARCHITECTURE Patterns have been covering architectural surfaces since times immemorial - in the same way as such patterns have been spread all over the domain of human artefacts. The human body was perhaps the first surface that received designed patterns. Architectural patterns thus have a broad and deep lineage. With the advent of Modernism leading to Minimalism in architecture architectural patterns and their relevance has taken paradigm shifts.

Decoration was assumed to express the appropriate character of a space. A building without decoration was unfinished, unable to enter the social world. Today spaces seem more neutral, encounters are less ritualised and decorum seems less conspicious. It is very intriguing how the social coding has disppaeared altogether.

DESIGN PORTFOLIO

Distribution, construction, and decoration were the three heads of construction.

------- 032

DEVELOPMENT OF PARAMETRICISM 1. Focus on complex Geometry led to Deconstructivism (technique of texture mapping on warped nurb surfaces) 2. Emergence of Hyper Surface Architecture 3. Scripting and Mapping replaced texture mapping 4. Tessellation of nurb surfaces became an opportunity for articulation

SITE SELECTION

DESIGN PORTFOLIO

The site selected for the multiuse building is the Sardar bridge. This bridge is situated near the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad which is on its west bank. On the Eastern Bank is a commercial complex and a market place. The area of the site comes under the recreation zone. The Sabarmati Riverfront Development Authority want an iconic structure in this area whic is visible from all the other bridges. As the proposed multiuse bridge will house a Museum of Contemporary Art therefore it can totally fulfill the ambitions of the SRFDCL.

An observation of river flow patters led to the conclusion that whenever there is depostion of any silt in between the river changes its course. The form of the multiuse bridge also has the same nature. As the flow of the river is uninturrepted due to any silt, the natural flow of people will not be hindered due to the programs installed on the bridge

------- 033

EVOLUTION OF FORM

Three types of routes connect the bridge from one end to the other. The first is the museum of contemporary art symbolised by green. The second is the road for day to day users symbolised by red. Blue denotes the walways for people who want to stand on the bridge without any kind of motor vehicles plying. There fore basic 3 curves evolve and the curvature is maintained in the x axis as well as the y axis. The pictures avove show the development of the isocurves

FORM FINDING IN GRASSHOPPER The basic form which evolved were doubly curved nurb surfaces. The next stage of development is panelling on the surface. The surface of the museum of contemporery art is panelled and a number of prototypes evolve by change in the grasshopper script. After this stage is the stage of selection of the prototypes. The prototype which is best suited according to the structure and requirement is chosen among all the prototypes.

The areas on the two sides of the bridge are developed as places for recreation. People can come here and play by the river. They can get beautiful views of the river to which they are so attached. Also they can reach levels nearer to the wate by standing on the walkways. The structure will be visible from the other bridges on the sabarmati as people pass by them and will be a centre of attraction for city which can promote tourism further

A central road runs across like a spine joining the two ends of the river through the Museum of contemporary art. Both the sides of the road have display areas. Ramps starting from this level reach the other levels having other display areas and auditoriums. The topmost level has a library and a cafeteria. The store is a retail space of 900 sqft. Apart from the main display area the space has a back office, a storage area, a small pantry, trial rooms and a toilet. As one enters he/she is surrounded by a introductory vestibule space which is flanked by an antique cabinet which has some brass accesories, some plants and some booklets which talk about the brand. A small sitting area is provided for the elderly or a partner who can sit and read while the main patron is shopping.

Though the total area is not huge having this entrance space provides a laid back atmosphere and also sparks interest in the patron to know more before they indulge into shopping. Also because it is a startup brand this space also has a lasting impression in the mind of the customer as it is unlike any other regular retail space DESIGN PORTFOLIO

The initial idea with the materials was to use lime plaster for the walls, use cane and natural wood, and use brass as a highlight for the hangers and accesories. However because of the finished walls in the existing space lime plaster was not delivering the desired effect. So the plaster was broken and then painstakingly handplastered again by the masons to evoke a natural and earthy feeling. This was coated in texture paint again and handpainted with muddy patterns. 10 mockups were done on site to achieve this but the end result was fruitful
