Marshall, IN Don’t miss canoeing this summer in the park’s Sugar Creek. While swimming in the creek is prohibited, families can rent canoes from one of the many local liveries along the creek and take a dip in the Olympic-sized pool before the day’s end.

SAXONY LAKE & BEACH You don’t need to travel far to feel sand between your toes! The beach is open daily from 11 a.m. - 7 p.m. between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Admission is free for Fishers residents and kids under 2 and $5 for nonresidents. saxony-indiana.com/ lake-beach

FREEDOM SPRINGS AQUATIC PARK Greenwood’s aquatic park features a lazy river, splash pad, slides, and more. Daily admission rates range from $6-$10 depending depending on age and residency. Season passes are also available. Indyschild.com/FreedomSprings

BROOKSIDE FAMILY AQUATIC CENTER Open Memorial Day through the first weekend in August, Brookside Family Aquatic Center is perfect for a summer day at the pool. SUMMER READING PROGRAMS Joining a summer reading program is a great way to encourage reading over the summer and earn cool prizes, too!

VIRGINIA B. FAIRBANKS ART AND NATURE PARK: 100 ACRES Open daily from sunset to sundown, all 100 acres of the Virginia B. Fairbanks Art and Nature Park along the west side of Newfields are free to visit. Explore meadows, walking trails, woodlands and the shoreline of a 35-acre lake. Interested in a tour? Free walking tours are offered on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of every month at 11:30 a.m., starting at Lake Terrace in the park. Throw on your walking shoes and enjoy one of the most beautiful parks in Indy!
