ABOUT ME
Inés López-Balcells. 23 years old. Graduated in Business Administration & Management at Universidad Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona & in Fashion Design at Istituto Marangoni in Paris. A combination that allows me to build a bridge between business and creativity, designing innovative and original garments adapted to the latest trends but also realistic and commercial. My style is characterized for being “ simply complex”. Minimal silhouettes where details and finishings make the difference. Garments are long lasting essentials, standing out for the quality of their materials. Feminine spanish style with a sporty feel and a young attitude. I design for natural women who want to look elegant and beautiful while being comfortable. They look for easy wearable clothes to combine into effortless looks that reflect confindence and personality. I am a very hard working person, decided and driven, with clear ideas, but most important, I am eager to learn and give the best of me.

Since the start of the first trimester, as Ines’s illustration tutor and later as her design tutor, Ines has not only shown great skills but also a desire to be involved in fashion and an eagerness to learn and experiment. Ines also demonstrated her professionalism through her layout and technical files. CONCEPT
STYLE The 2015 look is a merge between the structured proportions of the classic business city style (tailored pieces), and a relaxed sporty feel. A mix of the cleanest masculine shapes of Blazers, suit pants,long coats and shirt dresses, combined with t-shirts, cardigans, sweatshirts and jersey tops to give the casual appeal. SHAPES Soft and relaxed utility shapes and cuts dominate the collection together with A-line and voluminous shapes. COLORS A desert inspired palette; neutral sandy tones and powdery suedes with a shade of cosmetic tones such as blush pink. PRINTS Monochrome/Bicolor Feminist touch Matching separates FABRICS Texture is the main key word for this 2015 collection. Stiff linen and textured cottons are combined with silk and viscose to add lightness. Suedes and summer knits also play an important role.
