Introduction The need for more cost-effective and timely systems development has always been the driving force behind the continuing evolution of development technology and techniques. Object-oriented (OO) technologies are simply part of that evolution. The ability of the object view to mimic and simulate real-world behavior is a valuable tool in providing intuitive and consistent abstractions of the problem being solved throughout the analysis, design, implementation and eventually maintenance phases of software implementations. Development processes use visual object-oriented models to reflect the real world. Being an abstraction of real-life world, each model represents important aspects of the problem domain, while skipping the non-essential ones. Hence, Modeling, as an activity, has established through time as a well-accepted engineering technique for successful software implementation. Employing proven principles and best practices, you introduce a different dimension to you modeling activities making them flexible, adaptive and precise. And this is what Agile Modeling is all about ‌ The Object-Orientation & Agile Modeling curriculum of Info2people will teach you how to skillfully model enterprise systems and assign responsibilities to software objects.

Requirements Engineering (2 days) Positioning Increasing complexity of systems to be developed and more severe restrictions on budgets, production quality and development time, push us have to find all the possible improvement potential in the development process. This equally applies to software and hardware development projects (mechanics, electronics, equipment construction etc.). Language is the preferred method of communication between the client and the supplier, and will always be first choice when expressing user requirements, regardless of business domain and technology. An interview between customer and analyst is the main source of requirements for a project. This conversation often brings people together with totally different backgrounds. Expressing requirements in a natural language can bridge the gap between them. The capturing of requirements in a natural language as the foundation of product development implies the adherence to certain rules. This training provides core techniques for the successful elicitation of requirements. During this course the following topics are discussed: •
What is the significance of requirements?
•
Where do requirements come from?
•
Who are the clients and who are the Stakeholders?
•
Are the requirements complete, consistent, correct and comprehensive?
•
How do I capture and document requirements SMART?
•
How do I manage requirements?
•
How do I validate and verify requirements?
Next to writing good requirements, the role of requirements is examined across the entire systems life cycle; from techniques for their initial capturing and defining through the separation of user requirements from system requirements to the relationship between requirements and other project artifacts. The course considers the importance of requirements in the entire development process from both customer and suppliers point of view.
Audience This course is targeted to project managers and software developers, to technical leads and senior management staff, who want to learn the importance of the requirements in the whole development process, their investigation and management.

Writing Effective Use Cases (3 days) Positioning This course focuses on the Use Cases as a core modeling activity, used for describing behavioral (functional) requirements, software systems and business processes. Use cases are textual documents describing the way users make use of the system. In essence, the use cases technique helps eliciting the user needs and representing them in a way that is understandable for both – the developers and the users. Use cases improve the overall efficiency of the development process by providing early reusable project assets, traceable through requirements, analysis, design and testing activities. This training will teach you how to write effective use cases, answering the questions about how much, how big and in what details the use case text should be when describing the business model at hand. The material explains the role of the Use Case in the overall development process, relations with UI design and testing activities.
Audience This course is targeted to modeling practitioners and all software professional who want to master the writing art of a use case in order to provide an unambiguous source for analysis and design.

Object-Oriented Analysis & Design with UML (5 days) Positioning This practical course focuses on the major aspects of the object-oriented approach in the analysis and design of software systems. Object-oriented models effectively capture and communicate system requirements in a way that closely resembles the real world and which is extensible in response to change. Object-oriented principles and techniques are widely accepted in the software development industry. The methods and models used are said to be relatively easy to learn, as they are similar to the way that we, as humans, view the real world. By the end of the course, the student feels comfortable with object-oriented principles and techniques, and with the Unified Modeling Language (UML). Through practical exercises, the student will experience how using OO, following a development process and utilizing UML notation, can help their business to produce better, more maintainable, extendable and modifiable systems. The material presents the latest version of UML (UML 2.0) within the context of the Unified Process. It covers the complete development process, showing you how to clarify user requirements by building a model of the problem domain and how to progress the model through design to prepare for implementation.

Curriculum: Service Oriented Technologies Introduction Service Oriented Architecture - SOA - is the modern reincarnation of patterns that have been recognized from the emergence of the very first computer-backed business systems, and then sometimes even before. These pattern encourage splitting business processes into separate units called services, that are loosely coupled and do not come into contact with each other. While SOA is simply an architectural style that is not bound to any specific technology, nowadays one of the main implementation models for a SOA are Web Services. Web Services use a set of standard protocols and specifications, like SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol) and WSDL (Web Service Description Language) for describing and accessing the service. The Info2people SOA curriculum explores the world of Service Oriented Architectures (SOA) and Web Services as a possible underlying implementation technology. It covers both the basics - what SOAs are, what benefits they bring to the enterprises, to the developers, to the architects, how they compare with former methodologies and architectures - and the advanced technology details, using a practical, hands-on approach to the subject.

Curriculum: Web 2.0 and Web Technologies Introduction Web 2.0 is perceived as the new generation of World Wide Web (WWW) that uses the Internet as a platform. Web 2.0 is NOT a new version of WWW but rather refers to the concept as how the WWW can be leveraged to meet the rising demands of individual users and Enterprises. Web 2.0 focuses on enabling interaction with content through collaboration rather than only serving content. In Web 2.0 all users can collaborate and interact with the content rather than simply accessing it. RIAs are beginning to transform the Web as we know it, changing it from a collection of hyperlinked pages filled with data into a collection of interactive, graphically rich applications, buzzing with social interaction and collaboration and interconnected among them, each drawing data from the others. Rich Internet Applications (RIA) and Service Oriented Architectures (SOA) have become the buzzwords of the moment. Developing Secure Java Applications (3 days) Positioning The course provides students with the knowledge to build Java standard and enterprise applications incorporating the Java Security Architecture to protect application resources and authenticate users. According to research by the National Institute of Standards, 92% of all security vulnerabilities are now considered applications vulnerabilities and not network vulnerabilities. The Java platform from Sun Microsystems Inc. provides the development community with an excellent choice for developing secure, robust and reliable high-end software using a modern objectoriented programming language. Throughout this course, students learn the best practices for designing, implementing and deploying secure programs in Java. Security experts agree that the least effective approach to security is “penetrate and patch”. It is far more effective to “bake” security into an application throughout its lifecycle. All lessons are supported by comprehensive samples and small to medium-sized exercises. The course features the Java Platform, Standard Edition 6 (Java SE 6) platform, utilizes the Java SE Development Kit 6 (JDK 6) and NetBeans 6.0 products.
Audience This training module is targeted at software practitioners – programmers, web developers, project leads and technical managers – who require expertise in writing secure Java application, analyze enterprise vulnerabilities and design against them. The course is designed to build the skills that are necessary to effectively use Java at an expert level, by providing you with latest Java security coding techniques and best practices.

Integrating JavaServer Faces, Hibernate and Spring (6 days) Positioning The complexities of enterprise Java technologies and the associated learning curve often act as a limitation while deciding on technologies for implementing enterprise applications. However, with the evolution of the Java programming languages and Java technologies, several open source frameworks has been developed and is being extensively used. The primary aim of these frameworks is to make enterprise application development easier. Such frameworks typically target a particular Java EE tier, like the Web, business, and integration tiers. In enterprise application development, you will typically use multiple frameworks for the different Java EE tiers. One such popular combination of frameworks is JSF (Web tier), Spring (business tier), and Hibernate (persistence tier). You can use the JSF framework to create highly interactive user interfaces of your application. You can then plug-in the Spring framework with JSF to create enterprise-grade applications based on simple Java objects, without resorting to the more complex and invasive Enterprise JavaBeans (EJB). Spring achieves this by employing Inversion of Control (IOC) and Aspect Oriented Programming (AOP). For the integration tier, you can wire in Hibernate. Hibernate is an Object/Relational mapping facility for Java applications. Through Hibernate the developers can map classes/objects to database tables. The tables store information of the objects, which can be queried or updated at any point of time. The Object/Relational mapping facility relieves you from adding data-access JDBC code in your application.
Audience This is an advanced programming course geared for experienced Java developers who want to use and leverage the integration between JSF, Spring, and Hibernate to build enterprise applications. Provided that practical exercises are supplied, a practical knowledge in Java web technologies (JavaServer Pages, Servlets) is required and the completion the “JavaServer Faces Workshop” course.

Test-Driven Development Essentials (1 day) Positioning This course teaches the significance of applying test-driven development to your projects, its place in the project life-cycle and a number of techniques and frameworks that can be used to apply testdriven development projects. Test-Driven Development (TDD) is a software development technique consisting of short iterations where new test cases covering the desired improvement or new functionality are written first, then the production code necessary to pass the tests is implemented, and finally the software is refactored to accommodate changes. Test-driven development can help you building software better and faster. By focusing on the test cases first, it forces you to start by making a detailed specification of the functionality, rather than thinking about the implementation. Further, it helps you taking small steps in writing software that works. When used properly, test-driven development guarantees that all code is covered with tests, ensuring that future maintenance and development do not break existing code. The course covers core concepts and applicability of Test Driven Development to Java projects.
Audience This training module is targeted at technical managers, decision makers and lead software developers, wishing to explore and understand the key aspects of test-driven development and are ready to pick up the challenge of improving the quality of their software.

•
Microsoft Certified Professional Developer (MCPD)
Daarbinnen zijn specialisaties aangebracht: •
Web Applications
•
Windows Applications en
•
Distributed Applications
Certificaties Dit geeft verschillende combinaties: •
MCTS Web Applications
•
MCTS Windows Applications
•
MCTS Distributed Applications
•
MCPD Web Developer
•
MCPD Windows Developer
•
MCPD Enterprise Application Developer
