THE PEARL OF AEGEAN: IZMIR
When I tell people
i am Turkish, people usu-
ally start talking about Istanbul. But actual-
ly Izmir is more beautiful ,more fun and more
cheap. I want to talk about summer holidays in Izmir in this article. You can have Turkish tra-
ditional breakfast by the sea in Alsancak, you can drink Turkish coffee after breakfast too.
You can also walk the Kbrs Sehitleri Street
while watching street artists. You can go to the Tarihi Asansor and watch the whole Izmir from above.
Actually as a person who lives in izmir, I suggest you to go to Sirince Village and drink
wine. Because Sirince is famous for wine and you can find all kinds of wine there.
If you are interested in history, you can go
to the Ancient City of Ephesus. One of the Seven Wonders of the World, the Temple of
Artemis is located in that city. When you go to the Ephesus, you will see the Church of the Vir-
gin Mary. This is where the Catolic sect was born and the church is one of the first seven churches of the Christianity in the world.
If you want to spend your holiday relaxing or swimming, you should go to Cesme. You can play
beach volleyball, since the sea and coast are always very clean in Cesme.

Goran Pandev: The Macedonian who became Italian
The best player in the history of the Macedonian football is in fact an Italian citizen. The Genoa striker, born in 1983, arrived for the first time in Italy in 2001, the time when Inter bet on him. With the Nerazzurri Primavera he won the Viareggio Tournament and the championship. Then the loan to La Spezia in Serie C and then the Serie A debut with the Ancona shirt in November 2003. He played five seasons in Lazio winning a total of 159 games and scoring 48 goals. Then he returned to Inter from 2009 to 2011, where he won practically everything. And again: Napoli, the short experience at Galatasaray and then Genoa, from 2015. Pandev was one of the fundamental players of Mourinhos Inter in the 2009-10 season. The Portuguese technician has always had Pandev's respect: he considered him one of his "warriors" and both have always expressed words of mutual respect despite the fact that their roads are divided. And after almost 18 years in Italy, the Macedonian striker signed documents to take an Italian citizenship in Naples, on the 25th of February. "I'm very happy, after almost 18 years in Italy I felt like Italian. I’m grateful to everyone for this beautiful moment", said Pandev on Instagam. Neverthless, the Macedonian has never neglected his country and his 8
roots, remaining very attached to his homeland, thanks to soccer. In 2010 he founded a youth academy, the Fudbalski Klub Akademija Pandev, in the city of Strumica, his hometown. His brother Sasko was also in the team as a captain. The results have been excellent. Promotion after promotion, Pandevs team reached the maximum. In the derby against FK Belasica, the boys of Pandev won three times out of three: it seems that the Macedonian player has transmitted the combative character to his players that has always distinguished him on and off the field. And in the meanwhile we can see Goran Pandev. Writen by Francesco Lozupone

MY ITALIAN FRIEND SPEAKS TEN LANGUAGES
WITH HIS BODY

There´s something out there OH MY GOD, THERE IS SOMETHING OUT THERE! I don’t know what it is but it makes me feel shuddering. It´s something that it doesn´t let me go out, it´s something undefined, my body is shaking like an earthquake. My house is the only place where I feel secure, but the four walls drown me in the deepest parts of my fears. I don’t know what is hiding out there, but here I have stability and i don´t have any worries. I just enjoy my normal life by moving in circles without any exits. I WANNA GO OUT! It´s something out there unknown converted in a shape of a monster. I want to see it and face it, but I can´t, I just dare to see through the crack of my door. I can see it, it´s hideous, horrific and unpleasant.

A Facilitator is a learner Who is a facilitator ? What does a facilitator do ? Are there any rules a facilitator has to respect ? These are the most common questions asked by the youngsters who are willing to change the world. Oh but wait. I started teaching you lessons about life and i haven't even introduced myself. Let's start over. OK, so my name is Antonio Boshkovski and i'm 19 years old. Recently Aleksandra Stevanoska and i took part in a training course in Alicante, Spain. The TC was about facilitation in Erasmus+ projects. So does everyone can be facilitators ? That remains to be seen. A facilitator is a person who must be open-minded and think outside the box. Because no matter how good it is in certain situations to step out of your comfort zone, some people prefer staying inside and feeling secure, while making an invisible bareer around them. A facilitator has to be without prejudices and must never choose sides. He always has to have a plan B and be aware of the power he possess. The debriefing is a process where a facilitator expreriments with tools and methods and later on steps back and reflects what has happened (was it good or bad). 16
At the end i wanna share with you guys a poem that my reflection group has made regarding the definition of a facilitator. A Facilitator is a learner A facilitator is a learner A learner is a thinker A thinker is a creator A creator is one who is able to inspire To inspire is to command adrenaline which will implement action To act is one's ability to challenge complacency To challenge complacency is to conquer mediocrity whilst remaining dynamic and fun To have fun is to facilitate To facilitate is to learn

Me as a president of a school Youth Organisation My name is Ilija Binoski and i'm 17 years old. I study in ‘’SOU Riste Risteski Ricko’’ in third year as a Graphics technician. This year I became a president of the Youth organization of this school. I can say that we had a successful year with the organization because me and other members created so many activities and projects such as the promotion week of the school - which was made for the school patron by multidisciplinary competitions. Also we created some workshops on different topics like: Hate speech, career and working skills. Till the end of the year we're going to have some other activities like: movie night, school party etc.. Writen by Ilija Binoski

Major of computer electronics and automation My major, well and proffesion like some of the majors in my school believe is challenging the status quo. The way it works is that it’s going to challenge you first to see how much you know about the world around you and the world beyond you. Last but not least, it’s going to challenge you to think and imagine. Imagination is the key! Our imagination lead us to build a website for our school and the youth organization from ground up. We even got 1st place last year and 2nd place this year in the electronics session on the famous match between high schools around the country called Massum. We don’t see the projcets that are not working acording to plan as a failure, but as an opportunity to improve and FIND another way. We have a positive perspective which is something rare, but really useful. We are getting inspired to be great leaders, inovators and as I would say artists and to be in the front row with great mentors and leaders of our time, of our renaissance, of our new age. So if you’re interested to learn the way the world actually works, come and JOIN US! 19

Carbonara is the pasta most loved by the Italians If in New York the most consumed and requested italian dish in restaurants is cacio and pepe (cheese and pepper), in Italy we choose the carbonara. This is revealed by Just Eat, an application that allows you to order meals at home anywhere in the world. So on the occasion of World Pasta Day, that was on October 25th, the data of the culinary tastes of the Italians has been revealed. And if the first place is dominated by the spaghetti carbonara , the second is the tagliatelle with ragù. Third place of the podium goes for lasagna. And pasta is also one of the most ordered dishes in Italy, with 120 percent increase in requests across the nation from 2017 till the present. An increase that translates into a good 20 thousand kilograms of ordered dishes. Of course of this quantity, the largest slice is reserved for carbonara, a typical dish from central Italy that knows different variations. In 2017, however, the scenario was different with the lasagna holding the scepter of Italian favorite pasta. The World Pasta Anniversary Day was celebrated last year on 25th of October, twenty years to be precised. The first edition was held in 1998 in Naples. 21
The production of pasta at a global level amounts to almost 15 million tons, with a growth of 3 percents compared to the previous year. And Italy is the country that consumes the most. In addition, one dish out of four of those that are eaten in the world is made with pasta, produced in Italy.

Prilep in the eyes of a Turkish volunteer I have never been in Macedonia until two weeks ago. The first day I came here, I was welcomed by my Macedonian mentor. She was really hospitable just like all the young Macedonian people I met here. In fact for me has never been hard to get used to Prilep, because Turkish and Macedonian culture really look alike. As a simple example, we have too many common words. And also our food culture is very similar and people here are very friendly and helpful. People always help me when, for example i tell them i am Turkish. The city I live in is very big and crowded compared to Prilep so that's one of the reasons I really like Prilep. I can walk everywhere and everyone knows each other in this city so I already have a lot friends. I learned Macedonian songs from my friends and fell in love with the songs. Walking through the streets of Prilep and listening to Macedonian songs is my hobby. I am really happy that i'll be living in Prilep for 6 months. I am sure I will miss Prilep very much when I return to my country. 23

BARI, EAST’S DOOR Bari is the largest and most economically important city overlooking on the Adriatic sea. Bari has a solid mercantile tradition and has always been a focal point in trading politicaly - cultural contacts with Eastern Europe and the Middle East. Its port is now the largest passenger port on the Adriatic Sea. From 1930 the Fiera del Levanteis is held in Bari. More recently the city has become the seat of the secretariat for the Pan-European Corridor 8. The center (so-called Old Bari) is a witness of a millenary history and contrasts with the nineteenth-century Murattiano district with its checkerboard layout, which best interprets the commercial tradition of the city. When we talk about Bari we cannot but think of Saint Nicola, the patron saint and icon of the Apulian capital. For centuries the image of the saint is a meeting point between the Catholic and Orthodox religion. And it is precisely for this reason that the city is defined as the door of the East. To better understand the origin is necessary to go back to 1087, when 62 sailors departed from Bari whilst beating the time, seized half of the skeleton of Nicola, bishop of Myra (in the current Turkey). The relics, which arrived in Puglia on 9th of May of the same year, were first entrusted to the custody of the abbot 24
Elia (who later became bishop of Bari) and subsequently deposited in the church built in honor of the saint, the Basilica of San Nicola. They started building in 1087 and completed in 1197 and it represents a masterpiece of Apulian Romane squarearchitecture. San Nicola of Bari, also known as the Thaumaturge, is one of the saints most venerated by Christianity for his goodness, his history, the miracles and the immense charity that distinguished him. December 6th (liturgical solemnity) and May 9th (Translation of relics from Mira to Bari) represent the great moments that involve thousands of followers.
