Loesje e.V. – Germany Loesje is trying to work as inclusive as possible with young people, striving for equal opportunities and a non-discriminatory approach to youth work. We train young people from all over the world through our workshops and international youth projects, often aimed at human rights and creativity. In our organisation youth from very different backgrounds are active, feel welcome and exchange experiences with each other. We believe that the best way to strive for human rights, equal opportunities and even peace, is to bring people together over borders, physical and geographical ones as well as ones inside our heads. We have conducted several projects specifically aimed at inclusion and overcoming stereotypes. Loesje e.V has a vast experience of coordinating and implementing successful international projects as well as budget coordination for these projects. We have a big international network of partner organizations and we are always open for new partners from different regions and field of work, so we will be able to involve more individuals and organizations in this project in different phases, which will enable sustainability, visibility, cooperation and ensure a successful achievement of the set goals for the project as well as dissemination in our network. New Generation Charity - Palestine New Generation aims to support and influence the Palestinian young generation to be selfaware, to take the initiative to participate and lead in the Palestinian society, in order to make a positive change in the social behavior and development through creative and innovative methods, and cultural and sports activities New generations is an organization which was established by young people from different cultures and background with experience in different fields: non- formal education, sports development, and Gender. our main focus on human development in new and different ways. new generation works with young people and children. one of our main goals is to train children and work on developing their own personalities and empower them through a modern method based on the sport. our sport activates based on external exercises. Georgian Youth for Europe (GYE) - Georgia The mission of GYE is to empower youth of the Kvemo Kartli Region of Georiga to achieve their full physical, intellectual, emotional, social, and spiritual potential both as individuals and as responsible citizens. GYE pursues multiple program directions to achieve this mission. It promotes: learning through peer-education training and workshops on art and management; healthy lifestyles by organizing outdoor activities, hobby clubs, and first aid courses; democratic principles by offering trainings on human rights; environmentallyconscious behavior, by raising public awareness about environmental issues through demonstrations, yard clean-up campaigns, after-school environmental education, movie-making on environmental problems, Eco Gardens, and activities to recycle litter into saleable products. Center for Intercultural Understanding (CIU) - France Thе ovеrall aim of 'CIU' is to providе young pеoplе with thе opportunity to gеt activеly еngag еd in thеir own pеrsonal growth and dеvеlopmеnt and to fulfil thеir pеrsonal potеntial. Wе do this by supporting young pеoplе’s activе involvеmеnt and participation in intеrnational activitiеs, thus onе-to-onе mеntoring. Wе work in collaboration with youth sеrvicеs in Francе and abroad, and sеrvе as a bridgе for young pеoplе to rеach еxtra support systеms whеn nее dеd. CIU works in collaboration with youth and community organisation from Еuropе and nе ighboring countriеs to contributе to providing quality sеrvicеs for young pеoplе thus quality training for youth and community workеrs, voluntееrs, youth lеadеrs, activists in Francе and abroad.


KOKEN LTD - Cyprus Cyprus Youth Clubs Organisation (KOKEN) is the coordinating body of 100 Youth Clubs in Cyprus with more than 8000 members in urban and rural areas of the Republic of Cyprus. The main aim of KOKEN is to offer opportunities to young Cypriots to develop their skills and attitudes and to promote active participation in local, national and international level. KOKEN supports permanent and periodic activities of the youth clubs in the following fields: sports, culture, non-formal education, European projects, health prevention, human rights, environment and volunteering. We have solid experience in the implementation of various European projects in the past 6 years. We have implemented Youth in Action projects, Grundtvig project and we have participated in various projects abroad as well. The impact of our activities and projects reaches almost every corner of the Republic of Cyprus because of the number of youth clubs and the network of partner organisations. System and Generation Association - Turkey We are here to provide young people from different cultures empower tolerance, encourage their entrepreneurial spirit, helping them acquire knowledge and qualifications, cooperating in mobility with international institutions. System and Generation gets into the act about; increasing of capacities regarding human rights education and promotion of EU democratic values. We promote the Erasmus+ instruments for volunteering and work actively of the inclusion process of the youth with fewer opportunities. Our organization is the member of few international networks and their representative of Turkey: Anna Lindh Euro-Mediterranean Foundation for Intercultural Dialogue Between Cultures. Co-working is our point of view by reaching this target as the best way, combining the systems which made in EU and creativity of our young citizens. YPU Bridge to the future - Azerbaijan Bridge to the Future strives to increase youth participation in activities, support disabled people in personal development and acquiring necessary job search skills, develop intellectual abilities and professional skills of youth, involve youth in volunteer work, form civil society through the youth movement, ensure youth participation in environmental actions and tourism, and to develop mutual relationships between Azeri and world youth. In pursuit of the above-mentioned objectives, Union regulary provides local, national and international seminars, conventions, meetings, training courses, consultative services, and work camps. Bridge to the Future is a non-profit youth organization independent of all political affiliation, run by young people for young people. Loesje Bitola – North Macedonia Loesje Bitola operates as part of the international Loesje family, a network that exist over 20 years worldwide and use its own creative methodology for empowerment and inclusion. The Loesje ideology consist of promotion human rights, diversity, equality, tolerance, freedom of expression towards combating discrimination, hate speech, social and religious intolerance, active participation towards social improvements and employability. Our aim is to empower youth (especially from marginalized groups) towards active European citizenship, responsible for their own actions and capable to be committed in the societies where they live, in a creative and innovative way. Our goal is to increase the awareness in the society about current challenges we are facing, in a creative way, to equip the young people, as well as youth workers, trainers and educators with different creative and innovative skills and competencies and to develop cooperation with local and national institutions and other international NGOs.


INTRO If we look to the historical dynamics till today, women in each society play different roles. In one way or another, the facts, statistics, numbers and realities show that the inclusion of women in the socio-political life still face certain challenges. The project “Still raining / we climb the rainbow anyway” was created as a result of the feedback of youth workers in the partner organisations about the inclusion of women from marginalized groups (migrants, refugees, Roma, LGBTIQ etc) to take active step in the social and political life. We believe that non-formal educational methods connected with creativity, technology and innovative approaches can be a tool for empowerment and a motivation for the active inclusion of women in society. Through this project, we want to raise awareness about different form of discrimination that women face, factors that demotivate/restrict women from being equal players in the society and to show different creative and digital tools that can help women to work on their personal development and to be active participants in building strong societies. The objectives of this project are: - To explore the topics of “discrimination”, “inclusion” and “active participation” - To exchange information about position/realities of women (with fewer opportunities) in different societies - To learn and exchange creative and digital tools and methods for inclusion of women - To promote Erasmus+ and European democratic values in the inclusion processes Among this, we have the following specific objectives: - To create strategy for implementation of activities for increasing the participation of women with fewer opportunities - To create products (tools, methods, brochures, visual materials etc) that will motivate and support the inclusion of women in the socio-political life With this project we want to increase the capacities of the organisations in need of creative and innovative tools and methods, so they can support the marginalized women in inclusion processes. Those organisations, who are part of this project, will encourage the affected group through creativity and digital tools to feel free to take step forward in the society.


In this part, the facilitator can decide if the communication among the participants should be verbal or non-verbal. Now, the task for the participants is to untangle themselves without letting go of their hands. After the time is over, the facilitator makes a debriefing on how was the activity and how do the participants feel at the end of the session.

HUMAN KNOT GAME WHAT DO YOU NEED TO KNOW

This activity is very good for the first day team-building, because it helps the people connect, come close to one another, build trust and this will produce effective collaboration in the further development of the program.

Aim of the activity: * team building * increase collaboration * improve communication

However, in mixed international groups, we need to take into consideration the background of the participants. It can be unconfortable for some participants to come physically closer with the others, based on their cultures, mentality, religious views etc.

In our group, the trainers ensured that all participants are confortable with this type of exercises.

DESCRIPTION The participants should stand in a circle with their eyes closed and their hands lifted up in the direction of the center of circle. They should move into the center without opening their eyes and hold hands with two different group members. After they grab both of hands participants should open their eyes and observe the situation.


WOMEN ISSUES IN PARTICIPATING COUNTRIES SPECIAL THANKS TO:

In order to tackle serious work on the topic at hand, we made use of new methods. We had the chance to express our feelings based on the knowledge and different experiences that each participant had on Human Rights and most specifically women’s rights. Combined with the creativity that our facilitators implemented, we as a group of participants had the opportunity to share the situation in our countries and our points of view. Also, we had the chance to judge or justify certain cases of rights abuse around the world according to the Universal Human Rights’ charter. Using the brainstorming method as a starting point, participants were put into groups to analyze specific cases. Also, with the help of the “fishbowl” method and a TV show simulation, participants could answer and share their opinions on certain questions related to women rights. At the end of the day, we had an interactive debriefing session to assess the various workshops.

Our group shared the current situation in their home countries as related to women empowerment. With the use of flipcharts, the various nationalities had the chance to present the reality from their respective backgrounds. Through active and empathic listening, we could learn, ask and answer questions depending on our position. In addition to these methods, we had a theater session in order to learn body language techniques to avoid conflict and achieve better quality of communication in our lives as youth workers.


After they read, they discuss about general knowledge of human rights and human rights education. In the next part, the group is divided in 5 smaller groups and each group receives two handouts (one with a description of the study case and one with some questions).

VIOLATION OF WOMEN RIGHTS (STUDY CASES) WHAT DO YOU NEED TO KNOW AIMS: • To get knowledge about UDHR • To raise awareness about violation of human rights and women rights • To develop analytical skills TIME: 90 min. GROUP SIZE: 25-30 participants MATERIALS: printed handouts, paper, pens, flipchart

DESCRIPTION The facilitator starts the session with brainstorming on the topics “human rights", “women rights" and “violation". Participants are asked to express what this topic mean to them. After key words are put on the flipchart, participants receive a handout with 31 articles from the UDHR. Each participant reads an article.

Then, the task is to analyze the case study based on the questions given in the handout. The study cases were examples of reallife stories, where women are discriminated, their rights are violated and there are different outcomes from those acts. Some of the cases ended up with suicide. This exercise helped to reflect how far violation of women rights can impact one’s life. Those examples can be found on the page of the campaign No Hate by Youth Department of Council of Europe. After 30-40 minutes the groups come back in the plenary and present their own study case. In the debriefing, the participants share their view on different types of violation and share experiences. This exercise is quite emotional, and the background of the participants should be taken in consideration.


INCLUSION OF WOMEN The sessions continued with a workshop on inclusion and exclusion. In various groups, the team worked SPECIAL THANKS TO: on cases of exclusion, while making use of role play. Afterwards, we had a reflection on the various cases and how we felt during the exercise. It is very important to analyze certain emotions that excluded women can face. Recognition of feelings combined with experiences can create clear image about some situation of excluded women. Through this session, we tried to bring closer those processes and how we can be helpful in the process of their inclusion. The following session was more about theatre techniques for women empowerment. A very important tool that was used was “Theatre of the oppressed”, which helped people play roles and discover how they could contribute to women empowerment. This method can be quite useful for the future youth workers for putting themselves in the women’s shoes, to be empathic and to better understand their situation.


Then, the moderator invites four volunteers to join the first round. The moderator reads a statement about portraying women in media. Participants sitting on the four chairs express their opinion about the statement.

LOESJE TV SHOW ON THE ERASMUS+ CHANNEL WHAT DO YOU NEED TO KNOW AIMS: • To share/exchange opinions about the topic in a creative way (Learning by doing) • To raise awareness about power of media • To improve public speaking skills TIME: 60 min. GROUP SIZE: 25-30 participants MATERIALS: chairs in the middle of the plenary, microphone and camera

DESCRIPTION Participants sit in a semi-circle and four chairs are placed in the middle of the plenary. The facilitator informs the participants that they are guests in a TV show about “Media and Women". The facilitators are acting as in a studio (a cameraman and a moderator).

In the second round, four other participants are invited to sit, a second statement is presented and, again, they need to express their views. This activity is indeed interactive and inclusive. It focuses on the influence of media and how we interpret what we read and what we see online and offline. In this time of globalisation and development of technology, usage of Internet and social media, we meet “woman” in many different roles and subjects. This session helps us to reflect about the position of women online and offline and how we can contribute towards using women as subjects. It also gives space for each person to participate.


We had an amazing opportunity to learn and to experience the Loesje creative text writing method, which we can use anytime we need to do a creative brainstorming, when we need to create powerful messages that can reach to our audience.

RECYCLED CREATIVITY In order to support the inclusion process, we decided to take part of a community festivalSPECIAL called Recycled Creativity, THANKS TO: that supports diversity and inclusion. Our participants had the chance to organise and facilitate workshops there, together with the local community on the topics of women empowerment. The point of the festival is that the remains of plastic, electronics and paper will be transformed through creative ideas into new useful, funny or simply beautiful items. But recycling also works just as well with music and film material. During the festival, artists, volunteers and young people from diverse ethnical and social backgrounds realise the festival with their own interpretations of recycling. After a fascinating decade of creating more Love, Peace & Harmony, the festival celebrates the results of the efforts that the local society made. Therefore, Recycled Creativity Festival #10 was taking place again at Wagenburg Lohmühle in Berlin. This was the 10-year-anniversary edition, which was themed “Die Früchte ernten” (“Harvest the fruits”) and served a juicy program, offering practical workshops, generous initiatives, affectionate music and eye-catching art.
