>Driving
to /from Juan Santamaria Airport Exit Jaco and turn left. After about 30 minutes you will exit right following the signs pointing to San Jose and Orotina. Immediately you will have to pay a toll. About 15 minutes later you will have to pay another toll and about 20 minutes beyond that you will exit where the sign points to Coyol/Siquiares where you will have to pay a final toll. After paying this toll you will need to go around the traffic circle and over the highway to the left and then you will go around another traffic circle and FOLLOW THE SIGN TO COYOL. From here continue straight for about 5 minutes where you will need to exit right just before going over the 4 lane highway (Highway #1). Continue straight for 5-8 minutes and you will see the exit for the airport.

Claritas Beach Grill & Hotel 2643-2615 We all have different tastes, if your requirement is staying in 5 Star nice and fluffy bed hotel... Well, Do not come to Clarita's, However, if you accept a laid back atmosphere (Except for Thursday $1 beer nights and Kareoke night!! LOL) then this place is a must do, the rooms are truly clean.. REALLY, they are basic but as I said are clean , the air conditioning will freeze you out! There is a fridge, so feel free to run to the mercado for whatever. The pool isclean and a ball to hang out in. Go with the flow, meet cool people, talk with Dave (manager), talk with the cleaning girls, the bar girls, the couples, the singles, the security guys (must know espanol!), everyone is friendly...as many say the security is there 24/7...Every staff member works hard to keep the place clean and fun. I was there with 2 friends who were there with me before and 2 guys (friends of a friend), the 2 new guys cannot wait to return to Clarita's and they stayed at 2 other "highly rated" hotels during their travel in CR..their thought? Only Clarita's for future trips to Jaco. Same for me......and hope to be there again in June.. “Upstairs room at the end of the hall probably best choice.

Tuanis Apart Hotel 2643-2094-Jaco Centro A few steps from the beach.. I Loved everything about Tuanis ... This hotel was perfect, just 50 meters from the beach, quiet and very clean.. Those 3 days we spent at Rick's place were absolutely the best. Tuanis is just so clean, safe and friendly. The owners Ricky and Laura are incredible host and so helpful with any questions or problems you may have. So great to be able to park our rental cars inside the hotel grounds and not worry about them. The beach was visible from our balcony and we enjoyed watching everyone coming and going up and down the street. The rooms are decorated so interesting...along the lines of "designer" hotels now popular in big American cities.
Jaco’s first Solar-Powered Hotel ..Excelent. Eco-Friendly for real I would totally recommend this hotel, and would love to come back again!

They have some of the nicest horses and the best views in the area, come and discover nature at its best, all this at the private exclusive 80-acre property of Canopy Los Sue単os.
Upon arrival to the swimming area they will set up some fresh tropical fruits and water, and you will have some time to hang out and enjoy the waterfalls and natural slide. The way back is gorgeous.. really nice guides..

MONO VERDE I recently stopped for lunch at the new Mono Verde bar and grill in centro Jaco. What a surprise! It's a Miami style bistro with unique daily specials and a great martini style bar, specializing in unique flavored magaritas. I enjoyed a luncheon special of beef over noodles and vegitables and a great frosty homemade lemonade. The sidewalk cafe is great for people watching in the middle of Jaco. Nice atmosphere and great food. As a local restaurant of Jaco, this is a true gem... We had friends from the states here in Jaco and decided to go to the Hotel Poseidon Hotel/Restaurant to celebrate our dauther Anniversary.. The food was outstanding. We had Mahi Mahi, Tuna, Filet Mignon and Chicken. The food was cooked to perfection. Our friends were very impressed with the food and presentation. The service was terrific too.... The chef recommended the tuna and it did not disappoint. I highly recommend staying at this hotel and eating the food in the restaurant. I will be staying and eating here in all my future trips to jaco.

Located in the quiet part of Jaco main street, by Banco de Costa Rica, north end. You can park easily.. Rio Asis food is always good and nicely prepared. I Absolutely loved every single thing about this incredible experience! I am a 46 year old mother traveling with my husband, 16 year old daughter (and 3 of her friends) and my 11 year old daughter (and her friend), so we were a party of 8. Our amazing guide, Wil, picked us up at our vacation home in Los Suenos and endeared himself to everyone immediately with his easy-going, fun-loving personality. We drove just past Jaco then up into the mountains, stopping to enjoy an incredible vista of the valley and ocean beyond. We drove down into the rain forest and our real adventure began. I chose the Explorer tour and it was absolutely incredible! We hiked down a trail, enjoying beautiful views, waterfall sightings and spotting local foliage and wildlife. At the end of our little hike, we were at the base of a series of 10 waterfalls, one pouring into another. It was gor-

geous! And, we got to jump right in and play in the cool falls! We then hiked or rope climbed our way to each new fall, stopping to swim, take pics and enjoy the therapeutic-like rush of waters on our shoulders. At one of the falls, we jumped from a ledge into a pool below and had a blast doing this again and again. Even I got in one the fun, thanks to the encouragement of our guide, Wil. Wil was everywhere at once, offering a hand to the girls, demonstrating how to navigate climbs or waterfalls, making sure everyone was safe and had fun, and even finishing the tour with fresh pineapples that he had been hauling around all day! Definitely take your family and spend your day enjoying the incredible, natural beauty of Costa Rica with Costa Rica Waterfall Tours! We will be back and can't wait to do this again!

At one point in the tour our boat driver got out of the boat to lure a big croc close to the boat, and we were able to get great photos. Just amazing.. The tour guide knew every bird and had many interesting facts on most of them.He called a couple of birds in without a birdcall but rather simply using his voice. So simple... to do so.. Jaco horse parade, which is a typical tradition in all local fiestas. Hundreds of riders come and to show off their beautiful horses, riding skills, fancy steps, and specially designed cowboy outfits. Costa Rica is a country with a great farming and horses have a very important place in history since most families that colonized the country either had farms or raised horses. Naturally, this tradition has evolved into something uniquely Costa Rican. You will enjoy the “parade” passing on main street, a concert by “Pimienta Negra” at the City Park, concert hall.. andmany of the typical hand-painted carts created by famous local craftsmen. The girls are all made up, wearing flashy cowgirl outfits, and the men are right behind. The event is all about familly, friends, and horses.. come and enjoy this Costa Rican part of culture.. We met up with Neil and his crew. They were knowledgable and friendly. I am an experience kayaker and my girl friend a novice. They met both of our expectations. We set out from Playa Agujas to a little cove where we walked over to another beach for snorkeling. Our guides pointed out birds along the way.
Once we started snorkeling they pointed out fish and the guides would dive and come up with puffer fish and sea stars for us to hold and and touch. After this we got to eat fresh fruit and fresh drinks.. On the way back we stopped by another beach and a waterfall to “cool off” so beautifull!! Neil was friendly and very helpfull... Hard to get bored at this place. Take a break and get online!! The adventure starts on a 15 minute ride aboard in a specially designed 40 passenger tractor to the top of the mountain Descending via a series of zip lines, 15 platforms and 14 cables that is crazy, distance of 3.5 kilometers‌..including the longest cable in the area of 2400 ft! The Vista people have a photogragher who will take good quality photos of you while you are zip lining. They also provided fresh fruit and cold water at the end of the trek. No wonder why the are first in the Trip advisor. Friendly and fun staff are very safety conscious and guide you through the zip lines and are there to help you on the platforms on the massive trees. They have designed the lines very well to protect these trees. This place is very well run but a few of the guests in our group were a little intimidated at times. By the end though everyone I saw at the base was smiling, laughing

and very excited about the experience. The course is physically demanding at times. The youngest child I saw on the course was about 10 years old but she was having a lot of fun. My daughters were experienced in zip lining before they went to Vista. They felt very confident at the start and found certain sections quite challenging, they were very thrilled by their rides. Adrenaline Rush I highly recommend this place. Very green and sustainable activity. Very exciting and if you buy the $20.00 photo disk you will have lots of great photos to remember your experience. TIP> Its better to wear running shoes instead of sandles here. They can tape them to secure them on, but its better to have your feet fully protected.
