Another Touchdown for Inglewood!

nglewood experienced another milestone moment on Tuesday, when the National Football League (NFL) announced the city was selected to host Super Bowl LV in 2021. The nation’s biggest sporting event will be played at the new Rams stadium in Inglewood, set to open in 2019. The competitive bid process, which was a collaboration between Inglewood and Los Angeles, was led by Casey Wasserman, chairman and chief executive officer of Wasserman, in collaboration with the Los Angeles Sports & Entertainment Commission (LASEC), Los Angeles Tourism & Convention Board (LATCB), the Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Super Bowl Bid Committee. The news was delivered in Charlotte, NC, where all 32 NFL owners were gathered. Key selling points in favor of the L.A. region included diversity, entertainment and a history of hosting some of the world’s largest sporting events like the 1984 Summer Olympic Games and the 1994 FIFA World Cup USA.
