On Friday, November 2nd, Inglewood Mayor James Butts, members of the Inglewood City Council, Senator Steven Bradford, Assemblywoman Autumn Burke and City Manager Artie Fields attended the ground-breaking ceremony for a new mixed-use development—which will serve as the gateway to the new Downtown Inglewood, adjacent to Champions Station of the Metro Green Line, in Downtown Inglewood. On July 26, 2016, the City Council approved a Disposition and Development Agreement with Thomas Safran Associates to develop multiple parcels in downtown Inglewood.

The Los Angeles Rams’ unbelievable 54-51 win over the Kansas City Chiefs should be the new No. 1 on the list of the greatest regular season games in the history of the National Football League.
Sports fans from across the nation had this matchup circled for weeks, and somehow it surpassed the hype. It was the first time both teams in an NFL game scored 50 points. There were 1,001 yards.
Both quarterbacks were dealing. There were big plays from each offense, and huge defensive plays as well. Superstars on both sides. Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald’s dominance. Patrick Mahomes throwing six touchdowns. Jared Goff throwing for four scores and running for another. A big fourthdown gamble by the Chiefs that paid off and led to a go-ahead score late in the fourth quarter. Then Goff hit Gerald Everett for 40 yards and his own go-ahead touchdown with 1:49 left. Former Chief Marcus Peters picked off Mahomes and the game seemed over, but the Rams stayed aggressive and barely took any time off the clock. After a great 68-yard punt by Johnny Hekker (every

Editor, Email: francis_taylor@sbcglobal.net Centinela Hospital Medical Center was honored with an “A” Hospital Safety Score by The Leapfrog Group, the nation’s leading nonprofit watchdog on hospital quality and safety, in its Fall 2018 biannual report card. This marks the 12th time within a seven-year period that Centinela Hospital has earned the top “A” rating since the inception of Leapfrog’s Hospital Safety Scores in 2012. Centinela Hospital Medical Center was
one of only 15 hospitals within Los Angeles County to receive an “A” rating for the Fall 2018 report card. The Safety Grade assigns an A, B, C, D or F grade to hospitals across the country based on their performance in preventing medical errors, infections and other harms among patients in their care. “Leapfrog’s Hospital Safety Grades recognize hospitals like Centinela Hospital that focus on advancing patient safety.
