What’s Barbara Boxer Doing in Inglewood?

lic Affairs -- the political operatives who’ve been helping Madison Square Garden try to block the LA Clippers’ new arena. Let’s take a step back and reflect on this past Veteran’s Day when Inglewood resi-dents were treated to a doozy. That day, the former senator appeared suddenly and out of nowhere in our fair city.

The reason: to participate in a rally against the proposed LA Clippers arena that was organized by D’artagnan Scorza’s Uplift Inglewood group. (Readers may recall that Uplift is funded in part by the Madison Square Garden Co., the johnny-comelately owners of the Forum who have spent tens of millions to stall or kill the Clippers pro-ject because it will

bring – gasp! – much-needed competition to the concert business.) Appearing before TV crews that were starving for “news” on a national holiday, Ms. Boxer expressed her deepest concern for the residents of Inglewood. Kim Kardashian West will likely check “Black or African American” on the US 2020 Census form when marking the race of her children. In several interviews with various media outlets, the famous media personality and businesswoman, who lives in the San Fernando Valley near Calabasas, has said she’s very conscious of race when it comes to her and rapper Kanye West’s four children. Los Angeles County 2nd District Supervisor leading candidate Herb Wesson’s major Los Angeles County Democratic Party (LACDP) endorsement has been confirmed despite a bitter rival challenge. The LACDP is the official governing body of the Democratic Party in the County of Los Angeles and works in cooperation with the State and National Democratic Committees.
