LOS ANGELES – With COVID-19 vaccines for children under 5 now approved by both FDA and CDC, Public Health is encouraging parents to vaccinate eligible children as summer activities begin. LA County has over 900 locations that will begin administering vaccines for children under 5 this week, including almost 180 healthcare provider facilities, over 200 pharmacies, 400 mobile sites, and 7 county-run vaccination sites. Dr. Nava Yeganeh, Medical Director of Vaccine Preventable Disease Control, and Gema Morales-Meyer, Director of Clinic Services, will be available for interviews at the Public Health vaccination pod located at Ted Watkins Memorial Park to answer questions. Media will also be allowed indoors at the vaccination site to film vaccinations.
