The Los Angeles Chargers and Brotherhood Crusade have partnered with Inglewood Unified School District (IUSD), to create a new, innovative mentorship program called Bolt-Up Academy. The Bolt-Up Academy will provide mentoring, professional learning about business etiquette, and internships for high school scholars from Inglewood High School, Morningside High School and City Honors International Preparatory School. Find My Vax LA Expands Access to Open Vaccine Appointments in Los Angeles County IT News Wire
Find My Vax LA (findmyvaxla.com) centralizes open vaccine appointments in Los Angeles County by getting the data directly from vaccination providers’ sites, including myturn. ca.gov, carbonhealth.com/covid19-vaccines/los-angeles, riteaid. com, and kaiserpermanente.org. The platform consists of a website with both confirmed and possible available appointments, and the Twitter bot (@Findmyvaxla_bot), which tweets out new appointments as they become available. The website offers translations to a multitude of languages via google translate. Since launching on February 24th, the platform has reached thousands of Angelinos to help get eligible residents and workers vaccinated since launching on February 24th.
