I’m an education advocate. I’m concerned about the state of k-12 education in our country, state and in particular, my home school district, Inglewood Unified. When Inglewood Unified entered into state receivership and the California Department of Education took over, I joined other Inglewood Unified community members to form the Education Equity Coalition to monitor how they were managing school district resources and point out when the best interests of Inglewood students were not being served.
