COVID-19 BIOSECURITY

INGLIS COVID-19 BIOSECURITY Inglis will be implementing biosecurity measures where necessary to ensure a safe running of the 2022 Great Southern Sale. All requirements will be outlined as part of a biosecurity plan that has been drafted in consultation with the VIC Department of Health and appropriate experts, and attendance guidelines for stud staff and buyers will be circulated well in advance of the sale. GETTING THERE & ARRIVAL OF HORSES HOW TO GET TO OAKLANDS & PARKING If you are arriving by car there is plenty of parking available. Please refer to the inside front cover of the catalogue for directions to Oaklands. If you have any questions on parking please contact Colin Brown on 0413 148 956 or colin.brown@inglis.com.au.

FLOATING AND UNLOADING Horses will have their microchip scanned upon entering Oaklands, and every horse being led to or from the loading area must have a bit in its mouth at all times. Horse trailers/floats may be parked at Oaklands over the duration of the sale. To request a float parking spot over the sale period please contact Colin Brown on 0413 148 956.

ARRIVAL OF HORSES Please contact Jennifer St John on jennifer.stjohn@inglis.com.au or 03 9333 1422 to advise us of your horses’ arrival day and approximate time. Arrival times will be noted on the Inglis website as an assistance to buyers. Weanlings & Broodmares catalogued in the Inglis Great Southern Sale may be stabled at Oaklands from Sunday 5 June, 8am. We ask that ALL weanlings are on the grounds by 8am Tuesday 7 June. ALL Broodmares on the ground by 8am Wednesday 8 June. Security Guards and experienced horsemen will be patrolling the sales complex from the evening of Sunday 5 June until the completion of the sale. WELCOME PACKS Inglis will be providing a Welcome Pack for all vendors containing the following: • • •

Lot Cards (numbered card placed above door pedigree) Door Pedigrees Vendor Guides for your staff

Please collect these packs upon arrival from Inglis Reception.

HIP STICKERS Hip stickers, along with any bonus scheme stickers will be distributed prior to the sale on each sale day morning. It is the responsibility of the vendor to ensure that each lot wears the appropriate lot and bonus scheme hip sticker(s) when going through the ring. Please establish eligibility for any bonus schemes well in advance of the sale.

DOCUMENTATION Identification cards should be handed in to Teresa MacGinley at our office upon arrival or posted immediately to the below Sydney address: Att: Teresa MacGinley Inglis PO Box 388 MOOREBANK NSW 1875 If you have not already done so, you must advise us if your horse(s) is a roarer (including those who have undergone laryngoscopic surgery), windsucker and/or wobbler. You must also disclose any invasive joint surgery or abdominal surgery of any type (see clause 10 (c) of the Conditions of Sale for further information).

HORSE INFORMATION REPOSITORY A voluntary Repository is located adjacent to the covered pre-parade ring. All material (excluding Endoscopic videos) must be lodged in the Repository no later than Monday 6 June. All material remains the property of the veterinary practice identified as the source in the Repository. The Repository is accessible to registered vets ONLY. OPENING HOURS: Monday 6 June 8:30am to 5:00pm Tuesday 7 June 8:30am to 5:00pm Wednesday 8 June 8:30am to 5:00pm Thursday 9 June 8:30am to end of sale Friday 10 June 8:30am to end of sale No radiographs and/or surgical reports may be removed from the Repository. The Repository is only to be used in the manner provided in the Inglis Conditions of Sale (please refer to Clause 12 in this catalogue’s Conditions of Sale). Repository terms and procedures of use are available on the Inglis website.

HORSE INFORMATION PRE-SALE SCOPING On a voluntary basis, you may choose to have your RACE FILLIES ONLY undergo a pre-sale endoscopic examination, conducted by a veterinarian of your choice. Please note that pre-sale endoscopic videos to be lodged in the Repository must be taken by a Veterinarian at Oaklands within 7 days of the sale. Please have your appointed veterinarian contact Teresa MacGinley (0427 682 219) to book our onsite scoping facility if required. For the safety of staff and horses, race fillies are not permitted to be scoped in their boxes. Once the endoscopic evaluation has been completed you may choose to lodge it in the Inglis Repository and/or keep a copy on your laptop at the barn and show interested veterinarians as requested. Pre-sale endoscopic videos must be lodged in the repository by noon 5pm Wednesday 8 June.

HORSE INFORMATION HENDRA VACCINATED HORSES Any horse that has been immunised with the Hendra Vaccine must be notified to the Auctioneer prior to the Sale and this information will be advised to the buyers at the time of the Sale. Failure to notify the Auctioneer of this information could lead to cancellation of the sale of your lot. Please advise Teresa MacGinley if your yearlings have been Hendra Vaccinated. Please note horses that have been immunised with the Hendra Vaccine are currently banned for export to several countries including China. Veterinary Declaration of Health for Horses in the Hendra Watch Zone If your horse/s catalogued in this sale is being transported from a property that is located in the area from Port Macquarie to Tamworth, Tamworth north to Tenterfield, Tenterfield north to the Queensland border and all of Queensland and has not been vaccinated, the attending veterinarian is required to complete a Declaration of Health and return it to Teresa MacGinley in the Inglis Oaklands office by 5pm, Tuesday 7 June. A copy of the veterinary declaration is available from Teresa upon request.

VENDOR PHOTOS & VIDEOS We strongly encourage you to upload photos and videos of your catalogued horses to the Inglis website. Please see our Guide to Sale Photos & Videos for important details and tips, as well as uploading instructions. It is a simple process and a very useful marketing tool. If you require assistance with this process, please contact our IT Department on 02 9399 7999 or it@inglis.com.au. We encourage vendors to post any videos or photos to the Inglis website in a timely manner in advance of the sale.

HORSE INFORMATION VETERINARY ATTENTION Newmarket Equine will have a veterinarian on site during the Sale should you require a vet over the course of the Sale. Newmarket Equine’s phone number is 0418 345 192 (Dr Ian Church). The Veterinary area is located near the stable manager’s office.

FARRIER A farrier will be available at Oaklands from Monday 6 June. Please contact Colin Brown on 0413 148 956 or Luke Freebairn on 0417 134 036 as required.

ONSITE SECURITY Guards will patrol the grounds throughout the sale from Sunday 5 June. A list of vendor contact numbers has been given to our security firm who will contact your designated staff member or yourself if necessary.

HORSE INFORMATION PROVISIONS SUPPLIED Basic feed supplies will be available. These consist of oaten chaff, lucerne chaff, lucerne hay and oats. Feed buckets, water buckets and wood shavings (bedding) are also supplied, however we advise vendors to supply their own mucking out gear to ensure their staff have sufficient equipment to carry out relevant duties. To assist you with additional feed supplies, please find herewith details of our feed supplier who can arrange to have your extra requirements delivered to Oaklands prior to your arrival as well as during your time here. GENERAL INFORMATION RESERVES We ask that a vendor representative is present at the auction box when your lot is offered for sale. Please make your way to the auction box at least 2 lots before your horse is to be offered and communicate your reserve/unreserved instructions to the Clerk in a clear and timely manner. If you do not intend to be present at the Sale when your horse is offered, please give your sale instructions to James Price at james.price@inglis.com. au or on 0409 806 595. If no instructions are received and you are not represented at the auctioneer’s box at the time of sale, we will offer your lot for unreserved sale.

WITHDRAWALS If you have any withdrawals from your draft please notify our office as soon as possible and supply a veterinary report. If you have any questions or concerns leading up to or during the sale, please don’t hesitate to contact any member of our friendly bloodstock team on 03 9333 1422.

GENERAL INFORMATION SIGNAGE ON STABLES Please note that Inglis will supply a pedigree for each lot in the lot card holder on each stable door. Vendors are permitted to display further promotional material on the stable, but these must be attached using double sided tape ONLY. The use of nails, staple guns and screws will not be permitted as these damage the stables.

FIRST AID There is a first aid room located adjacent to the stable manager’s office behind the main toilet/shower block. A medical professional will be on site during all inspection and sale days. Should you require medical assistance during the sale please see the attendant at the first aid room or in the case of an emergency contact Colin Brown on 0413 148 956.

STAFF FACILITIES The sales complex possesses a well-equipped amenities block with showers and changing facilities for your convenience. We would encourage staff to use these facilities after completing their morning work with the horses to alleviate the need to return to offsite accommodation.

BUSINESS CENTRE The Business Centre is located near Reception. Please ask Reception for directions if required.

GENERAL INFORMATION CATERING There are a number of catering outlets available during the sale. BLACK CAVIAR BAR A full bar will be in operation each day from 11:00am for the duration of the sale. SNACK BAR The snack bar will be open from 8:00am to 6:00pm from Monday 6 June for the duration of the sale. The snack bar is located off the restaurant. TEA & COFFEE Tea and coffee facilities are located next to the snack bar and will be open each day from 6:30am from Monday 6 June for the duration of the sale. RESTAURANT Breakfast is available in the Restaurant from Monday 6 June and opens daily from 7:00am. Lunch is available from Monday 6 June for the duration of the sale and is available from 11:30am to 3:30pm. Please note: If you would like to open an account with our caterer, please see Margate Catering form which will be distributed to vendors prior to the sale.

HORSE ADMINISTRATION CHECK LIST All Horses Identification Card (or passbook) submitted to Inglis. Notify Inglis of declarations - listed in section 10 Vendor Warranties or section 13 Special Characteristics in the Inglis Terms and Conditions of Sale. Un-named Horses (yearlings, weanlings etc) Parentage Verified with the ASB By default, this also means the horse must be Microchipped Branded Broodmares ALL Mare Returns up to date on the ASB Certificate Of Paternity (COP) submitted to the ASB by stallion proprietor (usually stud farm standing stallion your mare is in foal to) once the current service fee has been paid or other private arrangements have been made. Pregnancy certificate dated within 7 days of the sale OR Breeding report dated within 14 days of the sale submitted for maiden or barren mares (not compulsory but recommended) Foals At Foot

Relevant Mare Return completed with the ASB
