WELCOME TO MELBOURNE
Welcome to the 2024 Inglis Premier Yearling Sale.
It’s fantastic to have so many of you back in Melbourne for Premier and we can’t wait to host you at Oaklands for what will be another big week of entertainment both in and out of the sales auditorium.
This ‘What’s On’ publication outlines events of the week surrounding the sale and the $1m Inglis Sprint to be held at Flemington on Australian Guineas Day.
The main event – the 2024 Premier Sale – will again be preceded by a range of activities for buyers, vendors and general racing enthusiasts.
While official inspections begin at Oaklands on Tuesday February 27, there will be a series of activities and events for clients to enjoy throughout the week in the lead-up to the sale, including the second annual TBV Trivia Night and the traditional Welcome Drinks.
The $1m Inglis Sprint will take centre stage on Saturday March 2 at Flemington, on Australian Guineas Day, as many of the best 3YOs in the country battle it out on the racetrack.
Once the week of inspections and the race day are done, attention centres on the Oaklands auditorium for the sale. We are, as always, hugely grateful for the support of the sale by the breeders and vendors and are committed to working with you to help achieve an outstanding set of results again in 2024.
This year a total of 800 yearlings have been catalogued for sale over the three days of March 3-5.
The Premier Sale has proven to be a bonanza for buyers in recent years, producing 28 G1-winning graduates since 2018 - 15 which could have been bought for $100,000 or less.
The 2024 catalogue again promises to produce many outstanding racetrack stars of the future and make many more dreams come true.
While joining us in Melbourne for the Premier Sale we hope you enjoy all that this captivating cuty has to offer.
