2022 was another year of loss, tragedy and difficulties for so many. Living in KZN has taught us that sometimes all we need is enough resilience to get us through to the next day. We have been challenged to live, love and share.
Looking at the last three years it seems like we were on a never ending “ultimate human challenge”. Mustering up courage, holding onto hope and leaning into faith, we have all pushed through life changing circumstances.
Here we are, three years later. Spurred on by a global pandemic, fearless through unrest and stronger through a natural disaster.
Survival has given us a new language. It is one of remembrance and gratitude. It has without a doubt caused us to complain less and be more thankful.
Reflecting on the past three years and looking ahead, I am thankful.
I’m thankful for the people that have been patient with me, I’m thankful for those that have challenged me, I’m thankful for a team that rallies around me, I’m thankful for growth, I’m thankful for dear friends and beloved family and most of all I’m thankful for my faith.
As we close this year and begin the festive preparations, let’s celebrate; the gift of LIFE. Live in remembrance with FAITH, HOPE and LOVE. Be grateful in ALL things and continue with resilience and confidence to finish 2022 strong.
