Home • Heart • Dreams L
ooking back to 2020, many of us have found ourselves displaced, disheartened and disillusioned from a pandemic that has brought inevitable change. The heaviness of this can be dehabilitating and can cause a constant wrestling of quitting versus doing it again. A trip down memory lane presents a recollection of what it took to achieve that first goal. Maybe it was your first property, the sacrifice and excitement, the sense of achievement and sight of success; the fond memories of family gatherings, fun events and the warmth of hugs; the memory of seeing our dreams come alive. Reflecting on the past we see signs of determination and persistent perseverance a pandemic cannot erase it.
As we commemorate a year of lockdowns, new normals and “post covid” we find ourselves equipped to do better than ever before. The gift of life and gratitude has caused a new strength to rise. Stronger, better and more determined than ever we are able to dream again. Our hearts beat for relationship and the personal touch. The definition of home is no longer aesthetics but rather authentic love and appreciation. It’s no coincidence that more than 2000 years ago there was a dark and empty tomb. Disaster was temporary and death wasn’t final. 2020 may have been a tomb of gloom, doom and death, but the future has been fostered by a deep sense of reawakening with resurrected dreams and HOPE. We wish you resurrected dreams and a life of Faith • Hope & Love
Living through 2020 has given us a new superpower. The power to pause, rethink, recreate and live again. The contrast is simply, we survived what was meant to annihilate humanity.

MAKING A DIFFERENTS SINCE 2000
Easter at home With Covid19 still very much a reality, the safest thing we can do is spend this Easter at home. Let us share some great ways to celebrate the holiday at home: Tune into a church service. Many churches have now made their services available online, either through a live stream or through a recorded podcast. If your own place of worship doesn’t have streaming capabilities, “visit” another church instead. Schedule a virtual hangout with family or friends. Thanks to FaceTime and apps like Google Hangouts, Zoom, and Houseparty, it’s never been easier to feel close to loved ones, evenwhen you’re miles away. Organize a virtual Easter lunch with all of thecousins, or tune in to the same church service together. But in yourexcitement about all the virtual possibilities, don’t forget the less technologically savvy: Pick up the phone to wish those loved ones a happyEaster too. Send Easter cards. For those who aren’t typically big snail-mail fans, all this extra time indoors is an excellent opportunity to practice your penmanship and flex your letter-writing muscles to send Easter greetings to loved ones near and far. For the younger set, pull out the craft supplies and have them make cards for their grandparents, elderly neighbors, and residents at local nursing homes who can’t receive visitors.
Have an egg hunt in the backyard. They’ll likely be disappointed by the fact that there won’t be a church/school Easter party this year, so send the kids to the backyard for their very own mini Easter egg hunt. A little sunshine is a welcome distraction, plus you can up the ante with a golden egg: Whoever finds it gets to choose the family movie that night.Set the table in style. Pull out the china, iron the tablecloth, and polish the silver. Even if your dining room won’t be as crowded as you’re accustomed to, you can still set a celebratory tone for the day by twirling up the table. Cut clippings from the yard for a fresh, colorful arrangement. Establish a new tradition. Rather than focusing on all the ways that the holiday is different this year, use your athome Easter as an excuse to start a new tradition.

Helpful tips to find a family home 1
Does the layout of the house suit my family?
3
Are there good schools in the area?
If you want to be able to keep any eye on your family as much as possible, and ensure you have ample space for family activities, layout is important for the ideal family. Open-plan living spaces, from the kitchen, to the lounge, through to the dining room will give you the ability to watch your children play or eat while you cook or tidy up, and give you the space to lay out activities for them. If your children are at the crawling stage, or not walking yet, consider a single-storey property, keeping it a kid-friendly house – as a double-storey with steep stairs may make it difficult for you to get around with children and their accessories in your arms.
Check the availability and cost of schools in the area that you are looking to buy a home for your family. . But don't stop there. Find out whether your kids would have access to school transport, if needed, and how long the ride takes. If they plan to walk, ensure it is a safe route. Plan to drive? Try the route at rush hour to gauge the traffic. Your kids (and likely you) will be making about 180 round-trips a year, and the school commute can play a large role in your quality of life.
2
Is this the right area for my family?
4
Is there room to grow?
You should make a point of visiting your prospective future residence during commuting hours to see the kind of traffic you will be in daily. Find out if other families with young kids live on the block; otherwise, you could be surrounded by empty nesters. Are there good schools in the area, a hospital nearby in case of emergency, the right amenities for your family? These are all vital considerations to determine the right area to buy your family home.
Could the property be extended, perhaps a loft conversion, a conservatory, checking if there is scope to extend the home to create more space as your family grows. Find out if the current owners have previously applied for planning permission and whether there are any extension requests which have been refused.

Looking for your own design of a home? Here is a vacant land that is ready and waiting for you. Build your starter home that is close to all amenities like UKZN, Westwood mall and pavilion.
Reservoir hills was named after the local reservoir being located at the highest peak and the vast rolling hills in the area, for this very reason you have spectacular views due to the suburb being so high up. Many properties in this area have steep driveways and to find a property in this area that is almost road level is a true gem because it makes the entrance of the drive-way user friendly. As you proceed into the yard, you have a double garage. when you walk up one flight of stairs you enter the spacious lounging area, which is open plan so you can fit a dinner table. The open plan lounge and dining room have carpets on the floor, which is excellent if you have little children.
