Independent Prep School For Girls Aged 4 - 11 HAPPY - CONFIDENT - AMBITIOUS
Inspiring and Empowering Young Minds
Stormont School is an independent all girls' preparatory school 20 minutes outside of London in the leafy suburbs of Hertfordshire. Stormont has successfully been providing outstanding education to girls for over 75 years. A day school for girls aged between 4 and 11 years, we recognise and reward every girl for her efforts as well as her achievements. Set in and around a beautiful Victorian villa and backing onto the 20 acre National Trust Morven Park, Stormont School combines traditional values with a modern, forward-looking approach to teaching and outstanding pastoral care.
"We offer motivating, fun and inspiring lessons, as well as a wide range of school trips, events and activities before, during and after school."
Welcome to

She will feel no barrier or ceiling to what she can achieve and will be encouraged to be inquisitive, to take risks without stereotypical influences. I welcome your visit and look forward to taking you on a tour around this very special school.
Louise Martin Headteacher
Girls are encouraged to be inquisitive, to question, to have their say,
to take risks and be the best they can be.
Through small class sizes, a stimulating academic curriculum, specialised teachers and facilities we challenge and encourage all Stormont girls. Many subjects are taught by specialist teachers in groups of 12 or less, resulting in a high ratio of adults to children.
“Stormont came across as the perfect balance of academic and nurturing.” - Parent

As a girls' school Stormont delivers a rich curriculum, without stereotypical gender expectations. Girls enjoy and excel in all subjects and feel confident to lead or put themselves forward without the pressure they might otherwise feel.
