EARLY LIFE Arianna Huffington was born as Ariadne-Anna Stasinopoulou in Athens, Greece, on July 15, 1950. She moved to the United Kingdom to study Economics at GIRTON College, Cambridge, at the age of 16. She was the first foreigner and the third female President of the Cambridge Union

CAREER Arianna began her career as a writer when, in 1973, she published a book called ‘The Female Woman’. In her write-ups, she has criticized the drive for Women’s Liberation. She has written articles and biographies of Maria Callas named‘Maria Callas - The Woman Behind the Legend’, and a life story of Pablo Picasso, ‘Picasso: Creator and Destroyer’, for the National Review. Arianna dipped her toes into acting. She starred in shows such as Roseanne and How I Met Your Mother. The path of her career was full of ups and downs. Despite the success of her first book, she had to face 36 rejections for her second book. Rather than sitting back and getting upset, Arianna decided to gain confidence and wisdom with each failure to take up even greater obstacles that she can tackle. The rejections only strengthened her determination in future pursuits. She stood up and together with her business partner Ken Lerer, launched The Huffington Post. Today, as HuffPost is continuing to dominate Internet media, sustainability has been achieved and traffic is currently five times higher than its new media opponents.

In the 2003 California recall election for the post of Governor, Arianna took part but withdrew her nomination. Hosted by Arianna Ariannaonline. com. For her novel, “Maria Callas”, Arianna was charged with plagiarism, but the case was settled out of court. Spiritually inclined, she studied the philosophy of Rajneesh. Recognition – In the first-ever ranking of the “Most Prominent Women in the Media” and Forbes’ 52nd “Most Popular Woman” in the World, Arianna was 12th. In the ranking of “The Guardian’s Top 100 in Media,” she is ranked in 42nd place.

CLIMBING TO THE HEIGHTS Arianna oversees a public interest organization, The Detroit Project. This project encourages automobile manufacturers to develop cars that can be operated on renewable fuels. With Huffington and Matalin, a combined radio show was broadcasted over the weekends, Arianna was on the panel of Both Sides Now.
