Kate Middleton is hat person of the year
The Duchess of Cambridge, aka Kat Middleton, was named Hat Person of the Year by the Headwear Association. The news spread like wildfire and was picked up by almost every conceivable media outlet (kudos to PR person Jill Hammer). Catherine won the title after garnering 91 percent of the votes in THA's online poll. (Rachel Zoe, Ne-Yo and Justin Timberlake were distant runners-up.) Last year, Kate also won Harper's Bazaar's best-dressed honor as well as a spot on Vanity Fair's international list. This is the third annual Hat Person of the Year award; previous winners were Johnny Depp and Brad Pitt.

AN INTERVIEW WITH MODEL – CHARLOTTE FLETCHER
My main field of work is modeling in runway, print, promo as well as TV & Film. I am an international model based in London & New York. I have a year’s experience as a model and was signed by Wilhelmina modeling agency in July 2011! The biggest jobs I have done is couture fashion week, modeled for Paul Mitchell salon at The Excel and appeared in Nia's catalogue in New York. I have also had the lead role in Giggs- Monster video shoot. I am also an upcoming actress and attend the London School of Drama. I have appeared in two of Noel Clarke's films with a non-speaking role. I aspire to take the world by storm with my unique features and slender physique as well as versatile character. I believe I am a creature like no other. I am very confident in myself and every thing I do in life. My main belief is that you only fail once you stop trying.
HOW DID YOU GET INTO MODELLING? I got scouted for a free photo shoot and the make up artist really liked me and gave me a link to appear in the Black Hair Magazine at the age of 16. WHAT WOULD YOU PREDOMINANTLY WANT TO BE SINCE YOU ARE BOTH ACTING & MODELLING? I mainly focus on my modeling career but I think being able to act is essential for being a model on a whole. You always have to get into character whether its for print, runway or video work etc.
WHAT IS A TYPICAL DAY - WHEN YOU HAVE A BOOKING When I have a booking I have to make sure I have all the model tools requested. That could range from black leggings, the right under wear, french manicure and so on. I make sure I have researched about the client, what they expect from me and how to get to them via transport. The day is some times unpredictable because although I do my research, things may not go the way expected. Usually we would shoot from the morning till mid afternoon, have a break and then continue till 5ish. WOULD YOU CONSIDER GLAMOUR MODELLING (PLAYBOY ETC?) Play Boy is not my sort of style. I definitely would get involved in classy lingerie modeling for a prestigious company such as Victoria Secrets.
HOW DO YOUR PARENTS FEEL ABOUT WHAT YOU DO? My mother is my biggest fan and has supported my dream from the beginning. My father supports me only on the basis that I continue to study Politics at university. They both believe in having a back up and stable plan.
DO YOU FIND THAT CULTURE & RELIGIOUS BELIEFS PROHIBITS WHAT BOOKINGS YOU TAKE? I don't believe in religion just God. I think intuition and common sense as well as the guidance from God should help me make the right decisions regarding my career. WHO IS YOUR ROLE MODEL? My role model is Waris Dirie because she came from the life as a nomad in the Somalian desert to being ever so successful. Not only is she a model but she is an ambassador for the UN campaigning against female circumcision and for women's rights. WHAT ARE YOU GOALS FOR THE NEXT 2 YEARS My goals for the next two years is to model throughout Europe, Australia and become an established model in New York. I also want to have a leading role in at least one of Noel Clarke's films. DO YOU DIET TO KEEP YOUR PHYSIQUE/SHAPE? I don't really diet as I have a fast metabolism. I make sure I eat a big and healthy breakfast every day. I drink a lot of water, dance and walk a lot.
COMMENT AVEZ-VOUS COMMENCEZ? Vous devez toujourds entrer dans le caractère pour le travail etc. impression, de piste ou de vidéo DECRIVEZ UN JOUR TYPIQUE QUAND VOUS AVEZ UNE RÉSERVATION Quand j'ai une réservation je doit s'assurer que je fais prier tous outils modèles. Cela a pu s'étendre des guêtres noires, la droite sous l'usage, manucure française et ainsi de suite. Je m'assure que j'ai recherché au sujet du client, ce qu'ils attendent de moi et comment leur arriver par l'intermédiaire du transport. Le jour est quelques fois imprévisibles parce que bien que je fasse ma recherche, les choses peuvent ne pas aller la manière prévue. Habituellement nous tirerions du matin jusqu'au mi après-midi, avons une coupure et continuons alors jusqu'à cinq heure
AVEZ-VOUS CONSIDÉRERIEZ PLAYBOY ETC Ce genre de magazines n'est pas ma sorte de modèle. Certainement je deviendrais impliqué dans la lingerie chique modelant pour une compagnie prestigieuse telle que Victoria secrets. QUE PENSENT VOS PARENTS? Ma mère est mon plus grand fan et a soutienr mon rêve du commencement. Mon père me soutient seulement sur la base que
je continue à étudier la politique à l'université. Ils tous croient qu'il faut avoir un plan de secours et stable. CONSTATEZ-VOUS QUE LA CULTURE ET LA CROYANCE RELIGIEUSE INTERDIT CERTAINES RÉSERVATIONS QUEVOUS PRENEZ ? Je ne crois pas au religion juste en Dieu. Je pense l'intuition et le bon sens comme les conseils de Dieu devrait m'aider à prendre les bonnes décisions concernant ma carrière QUI EST VOTRE IDOLE? Mon modèle de rôle/idole est Waris Dirie parce qu'elle est venue de la vie en tant que nomade dans le désert somalian à être toujours si réussie. Et non seulement elle un modèle mais elle est une ambassadrice pour l'ONU faisant campagne contre la circoncision des femelles et pour les droits des femmes.
CE QUI SONT TOI DES BUTS PENDANT LES 2 ANNÉES À VENIR Mes buts pendant les deux années à venir est de modeler dans l'ensemble de l'Europe, Australie et devenir un modèle établi à New York. Je veux également avoir un principal rôle dans au moins un de films de Noel Clarke.
SUIVEZ-VOUS UN RÉGIME POUR GARDER VOTRE PHYSIQUE/SHAPE ? Je ne suis pas un régime vraiment car j'ai un métabolisme rapide. Je m'assure que je mange un grand et sain déjeuner. Je bois beaucoup de l'eau, danse et marche beaucoup.
¿CÓMO USTED CONSIGUIÓ EN MODELAR? Conseguí explorado para un lanzamiento libre de la foto y el artista del componer realmente tuvo gusto de mí y me dio un acoplamiento para aparecer en el compartimiento negro del pelo en la edad de 16.
¿CÓMO SUS PADRES SE SIENTEN SOBRE LO QUE USTED LO HACE? Mi madre es mi ventilador más grande y ha apoyado mi sueño del principio. Mi padre me apoya solamente sobre la base que continúo estudiando política en la universidad. Ambos creen en tener un plan de reserva y estable.
¿QUÉ USTED DESEARÍA PREDOMINANTE PARA SER PUESTO QUE USTED ESTÁ ACTUANDO Y ESTÁ MODELANDO? Me centro principalmente en mi carrera que modela pero pienso que pudiendo actuar es esencial para ser un modelo en un conjunto. Usted tiene que conseguir siempre en carácter si su para el trabajo etc. de la impresión, del cauce o del vídeo.
¿USTED ENCUENTRA QUE LA CULTURA Y LA CREENCIA RELIGIOSA PROHÍBE QUÉ RESERVACIONES USTED TOMA? No creo en dios justo de la religión. Pienso la intuición y el sentido común tan bien como la dirección del dios debe ayudarme a tomar las decisiones derechas con respecto a mi carrera.
CUÁL ES UN DÍA TÍPICO - CUANDO USTED TIENE UNA RESERVACIÓN Cuando tengo una reservación yo tiene que cerciorarse de que haga todas las herramientas modelo solicitar. Eso podía extenderse de las polainas negras, la derecha bajo desgaste, manicure francés y así sucesivamente. Me cercioro de que haya investigado sobre el cliente, qué esperan de mí y cómo conseguirles vía transporte. El día es algunas veces imprevisibles porque aunque hago mi investigación, las cosas pueden no ir la manera esperada. Tiraríamos a partir de la mañana hasta tarde mediados de, tenemos una rotura y después continuamos generalmente hasta 5ish. USTED CONSIDERARÍA MODELAR DEL ENCANTO (EL PLAYBOY LOS ETC?) El muchacho del juego no es mi clase de estilo. Conseguiría definitivamente implicado en la ropa interior classy que modela para una compañía prestigiosa tal como secretos de Victoria.
¿WHO ES SU PAPEL MODELO? Mi modelo del papel es Waris Dirie porque ella vino a partir de la vida como nómada en el desierto somalian a ser siempre tan acertada. No sólo es ella un modelo pero ella es embajador para la O.N.U que hace campaña contra la circuncisión femenina y para las derechas de las mujeres. CUÁLES SON USTED LAS METAS POR LOS 2 AÑOS PRÓXIMOS Mis metas por los dos años próximos son modelar a través de Europa, Australia y se convierten en un modelo establecido en Nueva York. También deseo tener un papel principal en por lo menos una de las películas de Noel Clarke. ¿USTED ADIETA PARA GUARDAR SU PHYSIQUE/SHAPE? Realmente no adieto pues tengo un metabolismo rápido. Me cercioro de que yo coma un desayuno grande y sano diario. Bebo los muchos de agua, danza y camino mucho.

DARK ANGEL comes from the name MOWTY MAHLYKA which was given to the artist during and after his performance in Gambia. In Wolof language it’s a translation for Dark Angel. He adopted this title with humility and embraced it spiritually! He started off performing with sound systems at local dances around West London and built his name up on the underground scene. He was part of a group called „Nuh Fear Dem” when the group was selected to compose a song for a campaign called „Not Another Drop”. The song has received heavy radio rotation throughout different boroughs in London. He then departed from this group to pursue a solo career and decided to revamp his whole image and artist name. Then released a single in 2007 titled „My Time” which gave him the platform to connect with local djs to get his songs on airplay. He decided to set up and registered his recording label called Spectacular Recordings.
He has debuted throughout England, in numerous countries in Europe such as Italy, Switzerland (alongside legends Chaka Demus & Pliers) Finland, Russia, Poland and Holland(Cannabis Festival) as well as in the West Indies(Grenada, Jamaica, St. Lucia) receiving a joyful response from the masses. He has had 3 releases with the Brighton based Roots Garden Label and also a release through Foundation Records based in Norwich. These tracks are all roots reggae music which is his first love where music is concerned. First release on the Foundation/Spectacular Recordings: "MEDICATION" in 2007. His second release was „PEOPLE COME TO "on the Roots Garden label in 2008 then Foundation Record Label released another song called „MEDITATION”. In 2009-early 2010 Roots Garden released another song "FREE DA MINDS" which to this day is his biggest roots track in the underground scene.
