Cue Summer.14 Sunset hues appear in energetic floral prints with hits of high contrast black and white. Sunray pleats and shoestring straps nod to 70s lacquered glam, while draped georgette dresses and slinky camis define the collection’s cool-girl edge. Languid dresses, jumpsuits and wide leg trousers punctuate the collection. Featuring Juliana Schurig, Cue Summer.14 is cut to move, with sharp tailoring and lean silhouettes.

The new colette by colette hayman campaign encapsulates a Retro Americana mood with key ranges translating all the season’s top trends. The Hawaii to Miami inspired collections with kitsch tropical prints and evening styles full of glitz, textures and contrast sit alongside head-turning statement gold pieces and alternative jewels inspired by the fashion risk-takers of the pop culture scene. Sports-Luxe fans will adore the comeback of the must-have backpack in exclusive prints and quilted textures along with the playful slogan capsule adding an element of fun to this season’s look, with touches of neon throughout the season giving a tease for what’s in store for High Summer. Monochrome stays strong with structured graphic print clutches and statement jewellery with glints of gold bringing an ultra-glam look, while subtle colour-blocking on timeless, classic pieces remains the mainstay throughout the collection. 7

The Jean Jones spring/summer collection is inspired by the sights and sounds of an Italian summer. Jean Jones head designer Gina Condon took her inspiration from a recent trip to Europe, where she was particularly taken by her time in Italy. Small villages, festivals, long alfresco lunches with friends and the romance of this picturesque country have all inspired the range, which features natural fibres and floating fabrics. “This summer our clothes will be about comfort and romance, and a celebration of nature,” says Gina. “I want the wearers of my clothes to be able to enjoy those long summer days among family and friends, celebrating the best things in life in the total comfort that natural fibres bring. Our summer range features long floaty dresses and skirts and loose-fitting tops with lovely, flattering lines, that will enable the wearers to lounge around in the summer heat and keep their cool, while looking their best from sunrise to sundown. “As always, we have added small details to our pieces to give them a uniqueness that brings out the individuality in every woman.”

8

The new spring 2014 campaign from moochi promises a season of luxe simplicity – from elegant suiting in lush pastels and modern whites, to relaxed sports-inspired separates for your off-duty moments. Moochi creative director, Kellie Taylor, says “this season we’ve really focused on building the ultimate wardrobe for women, with a mix of contemporary styling to keep her looking chic whether at work or play, and feminine detailing to keep her feeling amazing in every outfit.” “SAVE THE DATE Moochi summer dress week 9 -12 October - must-have moochi styles in limited numbers to dress a girl for all her summer occasions”

Just about anything goes this summer from soft neutral tones to bright and cheerful colour. Prints are bold and iconic with florals making a comeback this season. Of note is the classic daisy flower and floral prints of the Hawaiian tropics which feature strongly in dresses, tee’s, flower garland headbands and retro headscarves. Accessories range from delicate bohemian feather earrings and head chains to bold statement neck-wear that is both eye catching and ornate. My favourite looks for summer would be the matching ensemble of a cropped tee and skirt set or the relaxed casual style of a jumpsuit. 12
