ÉDITO Les douze derniers mois se sont accompagnés d’un grand lot de réussites pour Inox Communication. L’intégration de nouveaux métiers liés au contenu de marque tels que le copywriting, la production 3D et le motion design nous a permis d’enrichir notre éventail de prestations et renforcer notre position d’agence globale. Cette belle évolution s’est également manifestée dans les changements stratégiques que nous avons su adopter pour poursuivre notre développement et qui témoignent de notre volonté d’être constamment à la pointe de la technologie et des savoirs. Nul doute cependant que l’événement qui a le plus contribué à rendre cette année académique si spéciale soit la célébration dans les règles de l’art de nos 20 ans. Nous avons en effet vécu une belle fête entourée de nos clients et des collaborateurs qui font vivre l’agence au quotidien sans oublier la présence chaleureuse de nos proches qui suivent l’évolution d’Inox depuis ses premiers battements. En 20 ans, ce ne sont pas moins de 150’000 heures de créations qui se sont écoulées et des
milliers de projets menés avec succès pour des marques en devenir ou des entreprises hétéroclites déjà bien établies. Aujourd’hui, avec un peu de recul, nous pouvons regarder cette histoire comme une magnifique aventure et ce constat nous conforte dans l’idée que notre instinct ne nous a pas trompé ce 1er avril 1997. Hasard du calendrier ou clin d’œil du destin à une agence audacieuse, cette date peu conventionnelle pour un lancement est à l’image de notre attitude disruptive et notre vision antistatique du métier. Et, parce que l’heure est au flashback, c’est avec fierté que nous replongeons à travers ces pages dans deux décennies de challenges et de réalisations pour des clients aussi ambitieux que captivants. Plus que jamais tournés vers l’avenir, nous envisageons avec une fougue et une motivation intactes les 20 prochaines années à venir...
Le 1er avril 2017, Inox Communication soufflait sa 20e bougie. Pour l’occasion l’agence organisait le 1er juin à l’Interlope puis au Queen Kong Club de Neuchâtel une soirée mémorable rythmée par les sets de divers artistes tels que Sunday Morning Ballet Classic, Dj Magoo, Dj Cort-S, ImaDJine et le VJ Eat Popcorn. Retour en images sur une célébration placée sous le signe de la création avec un atelier scan 3D 360°, un studio Harcourt et un photobooth animé.

Wenger est une entreprise de coutellerie suisse fondée en 1893 et implantée à Delémont, dans le canton du Jura. Elle est avec Victorinox l’un des deux fournisseurs attitré du couteau de l’Armée suisse. Elle emploie en 2011 environ 180 collaborateurs sur son site de Delémont. Eurozone economies struggled to show some measure of growth in a context of still accommodative monetary policy. In parallel, despite remaining challenges at the domestic level, growth in the U.S. has been the strongest since the post-crisis rebound, while, in emerging and developing countries, it has steadily become more anemic. Commodity markets experienced a sharp plunge in oil prices, but also a decrease of metals, fertilizers and agricultural commodity prices, reflecting weak demand and ample supplies. Declining commodity prices along with reduced capital flows to emerging markets were exacerbated by escalating geopolitical concerns throughout the year and weighed heavily on global trade volumes, which declined by 21% in 2015. In addition to these global operating conditions fraught with challenges, closer home, BCP had to contend with the consequences of the Swiss National Bank’s unexpected decision to remove the cap on the EUR/CHF exchange rate and the negative interest applied to deposits. While the strength of the Swiss franc wielded its adverse effect on the Bank’s revenues, regulatory pressures intensified with a host of new FINMA directives. Nonetheless, BCP was, once again, able to navigate successfully through a difficult year, pursuing the expansion of its customer base and geographic reach with utmost prudence and continuous adjustment of its business strategy and risk appetite.

Maintaining its unwavering focus on prudent liquidity management, on asset quality as a priority over earnings and efficient control of expenses, BCP closed the year with good financial results, not only in excess of its budget targets but also with significant improvement over the previous year’s level. Moreover, Fitch Ratings affirmed BCP’s “investment grade” rating in May 2015.
Organized in open-architecture, BCP prides itself on privileging an advice-driven structure in Wealth Management which focuses on clients’ needs rather than on the aggressive selling of ready-made financial products. While able to offer a full range of portfolio management services and products, BCP is also well equipped to answer all other commercial and transactional needs of its clientele, thanks to its diversified areas of expertise. In this respect, fast execution is one of the hallmarks of BCP Wealth Management, while preserving, at all times, the essential rigour required for diligent compliance and risk management.

IN 2015, GLOBAL ECONOMY GREW AT A SLOWING PACE FOR THE FIFTH CONSECUTIVE YEAR, REMAINING JUST UNDER 3%
In Trade Finance, the year was marked by continuing geo-political conflicts in Russia, Ukraine and the Middle East compounded by the increasingly pronounced slowdown in China, the world’s largest consumer of commodities. Hence, commodity prices continued their relentless fall, led by the price of the barrel, dragging down global trade volumes. Nonetheless,

BCP’s proactive stance and ability to seize all available opportunities generated by its stable customer base, allowed the Bank to maintain its documentary credits business volume stable at CHF 13.2 billion vs. CHF 13.1 billion the previous year, accompanied by higher revenues. After the period of repositioning and investment from 2011 to 2014, BCP’s Wealth Management activity surged forward in 2015, both in terms of assets acquisition and revenues. While constantly upgrading its infrastructure and processes to ensure full compliance with all applicable regulations, Wealth Management AUM’s increased by 11% while revenues progressed by 18%, despite the strength of the Swiss franc. With increasing contribution from BCP’s Dubai branch and a stable AUM base in its Luxembourg branch, BCP’s Wealth Management activity is well set to maintain its momentum going forward. During the year under review, BCP’s Treasury maintained its primary focus on effective and prudent liquidity management along with asset/liability management followed by support to BCP’s core banking segments. While consolidating the Bank’s well-diversified deposit base and ever-increasing new banking relationships, Treasury’s financial performance leaped forward with a 48% increase in total income and forex trading volume at CHF 116 billion progressed by 13% over the CHF 103 billion recorded for the previous year. In parallel, BCP’s Treasury also implemented greater diversification of the Bank’s fixed income investment portfolio with further reduction of the exposure to emerging markets. While exercising intensive monitoring of the countries exposed to political and economic turmoil, BCP’s Correspondent Banking maintained, throughout the year, the Bank’s vital relationships with its financial institution counterparts in these areas, standing ready for any viable business opportunities. Simultaneously, Correspondent Banking team members travelled extensively to initiate new relationships that facilitate the Bank’s core businesses whilst further extending BCP’s geographical reach to new countries and regions.

This year has been marked by persisting geo-political instability in Ukraine / Russia and the Middle East, which has been gradually overshadowed by an increasingly pronounced slowdown of growth in the Chinese economy. The deceleration in China, world’s largest consumer of commodities, has caused collateral damages for exporting countries as prices of raw materials have relentlessly continued to fall in 2015. Energy products have been at the forefront of this decline, as prices plunged by 35% over the year. Beyond China, this may also be explained by the emergence of shale gas and oil (notably in the US), the inability of OPEC countries to agree on a production ceiling and, to a lesser extent, the return of Iran to the world market.
Looking towards the future, BCP intends to further pursue its diversification strategy both in terms of regions and products, always according to a rigorous risk policy. In compliance with applicable regulations, BCP wishes to intensify its expansion efforts towards the US market, and to support the financing of new trade flows in other regions. Based upon a selective approach of counterparties, BCP will also aim at increasing its portfolio, notably in the energy and base metals sectors, while always maintaining and developing its high quality services to its long-standing customer base.

Once again, despite this adverse operating environment, BCP has successfully demonstrated consistency in its development strategy and affirmation of its difference towards the competition. For the year 2015, BCP’s commodity trade finance business volumes reached, CHF 13.2 billion, slightly above the previous year, in particular, thanks to its continuous policy of diversification in terms of customer base and geographical sectors. As part of its strict risk-control policy, BCP concentrated on its core business areas and was able to identify new clients, especially in steel, non-ferrous metals, energy and grains thanks to its recognized expertise in those markets. In the energy sector, despite the plummeting

Moreover, the Bank’s presence in Dubai, combined with its strong know-how, operational capabilities, reliable and consistent support to its customers and service-oriented business model represents a niche position in the region. Having consistently grown since its creation, presently, BCP DIFC Branch represents between 10 and 15% of many key performance indicators of the Bank, including revenue generation, documentary credit volumes, and number of staff. Within a prudent risk framework, BCP Dubai maintained throughout 2015, its consistent and focused business approach aimed at providing a stable support to local commodity traders despite the difficulties confronted in the commodities markets over the year. In parallel, BCP’s Wealth Management team in Dubai has continued achieving positive growth in client assets and revenues over the year, continuing its development always on a very selective basis.

aramélière et chocolatière aux Ponts-de-Martel à l’enseigne de «Crème renversante», Valérie Henchoz a désormais pignon sur rue à La Chaux-de-Fonds. Avec sa fille Maude, elle y a ouvert un Bar à chocolat. Un endroit cosy où l’on pourra trouver tous les produits artisanaux avec une déco nature-récup’ plutôt marrante. «L’idée, c’est d’amener un peu de notre campagne en ville», lance Maude Henchoz. Ainsi, le bouleau des tourbières des Ponts-de-
Martel est-il omniprésent dans les lieux, réaménagés avec goût et humour. On y trouvera les produits réalisés à Crème renversante, mais aussi toute une palette de limonades et boissons artisanales, du chocolat chaud pour l’hiver et du sorbet au chocolat pour l’été. «C’est important d’avoir enfin un vrai contact avec le client en dehors de marchés ou foires», relève Valérie Henchoz. Ouvrir le bar juste avant la Fête des amoureux, c’était une chose. Mais pour vraiment marquer le
coup Valérie a édité une série de chocolats... chauds, voire même très chauds, avec la complicité du dessinateur de Bandes dessinées Tom Tirabosco. L’illustrateur a en effet réalisé deux estampes très évocatrices que Valérie Henchoz a imprimé au cacao sur des tablettes de chocolat au lait. Un résultat à croquer, voire plus, qui fait bien rigoler les deux femmes. «Au départ, je voulais imprimer des jolis textes d’amour. Mais finalement, c’était un peu «culcul». Puis j’ai vu des illustrations érotiques de Tirabosco. Je l’ai contacté. Il a été emballé par le concept de voir ses dessins sur du chocolat».
