Wildlife Viewing

Alaska’s vast Interior spans over 175,000 square miles of

magnificent landscape. This inland area between the Alaska Range to the south and the Brooks Range to the north comprises about 30 percent of the state— an enormous region as large as the states of Indiana, New York, Pennsylvania and Ohio combined! The Interior has diversity in its people, landscape, climate, culture and wildlife. This is reflected in the various activities, dining, shopping, lodging, services and means of transportation that match the interests and lifestyles of its visitors.
