Directions: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place butter and sugar in bowl and beat until combined. Beat in yolk, vanilla, baking powder, and salt. Add flour, mixing until dough forms. Scoop out dough and roll into balls. Place on baking sheet 2 inches apart. Bake until edges are firm and cookies are dry to the touch, about 10 to 12 minutes. Remove from oven and gently press candy corn into each cookie. Cool on sheets 1 minute; transfer to a rack to cool completely.
