We are pleased to present the next generation of trailblazers! In this special section, Leadership Arlington and the Arlington Sun Gazette are extremely proud to recognize and honor 40 exceptional business and community leaders under the age of 40 who are living or working in our Washington metropolitan area. These honorees represent the private, nonprofit and public sectors and demonstrate exceptional leadership, both personally and professionally. They are devoted leaders, committed to making our community a better place to live and work. By celebrating their accomplishments, we hope to continue to inspire their successes in our region and develop strong social and intellectual capital within the next generation of leaders. On December 4, we will recognize the honorees at a luncheon at the Army Navy Country Club in Arlington. We received an incredible 235 total nominations and we read accolades from supervisors, colleagues and community friends. Out of those, 123 applications were submitted for a formal review process for the final 40 honoree selection. Leadership Arlington is proud to present the 40 Under 40 honorees profiled in this special section. It is with much appreciation and thanks to our Supporting Partners – the Arlington Chamber of Commerce, Arlington Community Foundation, and Arlington Economic Development – for helping to champion this initiative, that we congratulate our 40 honorees!

What would you describe as your proudest accomplishment or milestone in your personal life (outside of the office) as it relates to leadership? Who do you most admire and why? I most admire Baba Jitu Weusi because of his never-ending commitment to freedom, justice and equality. What is your favorite hobby or activity? My favorite hobby is DJ’ing. What is one piece of advice you would give other professionals under the age of 40? Prepare yourself financially to be able to be committed to the community. If I were in charge of Arlington County, I would... have a community board comprised of various cultures to advise the county leadership.
