In-Person Field Trips 1st Grade & Younger

In-person Tiny Tots programs are 45-minute immersive, interactive concerts for kids 7 and under (and their adults) to get truly “inside the orchestra.” Attendees are seated on the ground and encircled by our 30+ piece orchestra. Music selection, program design, and scripting are all geared to connect young children with music – physically, emotionally, and mentally. Named in Denver Westword’s “Best of Denver,” the experience is one-of-a-kind! These programs include a 45-minute immersive, interactive orchestral performance and a DIY instrument making kit for child(ren) to take with them. Our upcoming season includes music from around the world, exploring the science of sound, and a celebration of all the instruments. Come play with music! These will be limited capacity, socially distanced events.

Pop-Up Recess Programs Bring music to recess with our interactive pop-up trio programs. These 20-minute programs are designed to get kids moving, listening, dancing, and pretending with the ensemble. Led by a musician who will introduce each piece, these programs are a great way for kids to experience live music safely and in new and fun ways.

Small Ensemble Assemblies Students will interact with a teaching artist and musicians as they are guided to move and react to the music, answer questions and prompts about what they’re hearing, and think creatively and critically about the composers and the music. Program options include single or multi-visit options, adaptable based on public health guidelines and needs of the school.

Available in English and bilingual English/Spanish formats. Page 4

Full-Scale In-School Assemblies A 14-16 piece professional orchestra experience for ECE-8th grade. The audience is seated on the floor and surrounded by professional musicians. The conductor faces the students and engages them throughout the performance, asking questions and teaching them about the music as it is playing around them. Students are treated to up-close-and-personal demos by the strings, woodwinds, horns, and percussion. Scripting is designed to not only introduce musical concepts but to tie to curriculum that children are studying in other subjects.
