why agape The Agape Schools Initiative aims to make the volunteering experience accessible to A-level students, by helping schools to organise trips to our flagship outreach programmes in Nairobi, Kenya. Money as yet cannot cure HIV, nor can it bring back an orphan’s parents, but if a volunteer from your school can bring a smile to that child’s face, then they have given something truly valuable. By working with schools, we hope we can reach out to the next generation of young, enthusiastic volunteers – and help them reach out to other young people in need.

changing young people’s lives We hope that a school trip with Agape will be an unforgettable, eye-opening and life-changing experience for your students – a chance to try new skills, discover a new culture, and make a real difference to the lives of those in need. Our 7, 10 and 14 day programmes are designed to provide real experience of volunteer aid and charity work, while also giving you and your students a chance to explore Kenya’s incredible landscapes and fascinating culture. Whether it’s working with orphans and schoolchildren at the Agape Hope Centre, helping to distribute essential aid at a refugee camp, exploring Nairobi City, climbing Mount Kenya, or taking a safari on the Maasai Mara, a trip with Agape will expand their horizons.

the benefits of a school trip with agape: • an experience that will enhance future CVs and UCAS applications • a different and rewarding way to contribute to Duke of Edinburgh Award requirements • valuable experience for those hoping to make the most of a gap year in the near future • a chance to help those in need and effect real change for the better
