Making Sense of Shopifone Branding
route one
With route one we have developed a typographic solution that suggests both creativity with phones & also hints towards the idea of a stencil template. We have combined the shape of an “s� with an icon of a phone to create a unique brand mark. A texture is used to reinforce the creative side of the shopifone application. By placing all of this within a circle we have created a strong brand mark that also represent a stencil that could potentially be used to customise a mobile phone case. We have followed through the creativity into how we have applied typography. The brand name uses a combination of blue based on the brand mark, this also can be followed through to with headlines as demonstrated on the following pages. The end result is a playful but corporate typeface that can be used in isolation from the brand mark while still maintaining a strong brand identity.
The brand mark can be reversed out of the brand textured or any appropaite full colour background. If the brand mark is used in isolation it can also be reversed out of a photograph further leading to the idea of the brand mark being a stencil for phone cases.

route two
This route is based around the concept of “reveal”. The brand subtly suggests that the boring grey letters are being pulled back to reveal the unique fun playful typeface beneath. The fun side of the brand has been specifically chosen to be the “fone” text. The fone text is a visual representation of how your customers can customise their own phones in creative & unique ways. What appears as a purely typographic mark actually hides a small phone symbol within the “i”. While this isn’t meant to be a mark to be used completely in isolation it can be used as a supporting brand mark. For example this could potentially be used as an icon for “shopifone”.

With route three we have created a more sophisticated corporate solution with a simple clean and elegant brand mark. The graphic mark will always be used positioned over the top of a photograph or with a photography masked within the brand mark (as demonstrated on the next page). This is a direct representation of what your users will be able to achieve with the shopifone app. Creating unique personalised phone cases using the shopifone application. The background photography could be interchangeable however we believe it would work best with only a select few photographs to make sure that each time the crop creates visually interesting results.
