Current site overview
Tone of voice
Currently the Wentworth (WRL) website feels rather outdated both in it’s structure and visual presentation.
While the brand is strong, it has the potential to be lifted and modernised. The site would benefit from using solid well written headings, engaging typographic layouts that feature magazine style pull quotes and good use white space to help with the readability and display of the large body of information contained
While information is accessible the site needs to quickly tell potential and current investors where WRL is now and where they are heading in the future. Content needs to be easy and quick to access with presentations, media and key corporate information all clearly signposted and presented. The homepage and internal pages need to be addresed to present a clear and succinct company strategy whilst also updating the graphic language, WRL as a business can be clarified and presented in a much cleaner, dynamic and stylish manner. There are a number of investor indicators that aren’t currently clear and need to be throughout the site. Usability/information structure The navigation menu offers quick access to the site sections, but would benefit from landing pages for each of the headline sections i.e. when clicking on Investors providing a page that summerises that section of the site.
Mobile (Smart Phones & Tablets) 7.1m Brits now access the internet via their mobile phone, globally this trend is increasing. While the site does display well on mobile devices it would greatly benefit from a targeted version of the site for smartphones & tablets. This can be simply achieved by delivering what’s know as responsive design and provides the optimal viewing experience be it a smart phone table of computer.
Copy & Content Images and copy on the site, while adequate don’t help to sell WRL’s investor strategy. We would suggest some of the content is re written and refocused to help convey WRL business strategy clearly. Images need to be professionally taken and sourced where possible. Reports and presentation need to much more visible throughout the site and available in a number of formats for Investors to read.
Media & images The site features a full media section but will benfit from links and content both from video sources but also any social media presence that Wentworth have. Media can be easily added via external services such as youtube and vimeo and by linking with services like LinkedIn, Twitter & Facebook.
Some sections may beifit from grouping to create a cleaner less scattered experience.

back up and disaster recovery
We run a dual RAID system plus off site back up for disaster recovery. If the site was to fail it would restore from the backup almost instantaneously (allowing our server admin to rebuild and replaced the failed drive). In the event of a total loss of data, usually from malfunction or fire (which is incredibly rare) the site could be returned from off site backup as soon as the data centre is operational.
