The Inspired Learning Approach

Our approach is defined by supportive academic excellence and the exploration of life skills to develop students’ self-confidence and selfassurance. We do this by focusing on the individual and offering a broad curriculum based on Inspired’s three pillars. Academics is at the centre of our approach but is also complemented equally by Performing & Creative Arts and Sport. This rich curriculum ensures that every student can discover their passions and develop their skills, culminating in confident, thoughtful and knowledgeable young people.

Academics

Central to all of our schools, our core of academia teaches our students critical and lateral thinking to inform the understanding and application of a wide variety of disciplines. The King’s College School academic programme will ensure students achieve their best in public examinations at Year 11 and 13 to provide them with the best opportunities for their future.

Performing & Creative Arts

The arts help to instil confidence and self-assurance within our students, and helps nurture and develop their interests for life. This confidence is derived from performance, the appreciation of the arts as fundamental to the human experience, and a creative approach to all that our students do.

From drama lessons and public speaking, to instrumental music lessons and the visual arts, King’s College School students get to experience it all as part of the core curriculum. It is no surprise that King’s College students excel in areas such as debating, Model United Nations and arts performances that enrich the life of the school and the wider community.

Sport

Inspired’s sporting pillar stands for health and wellbeing, fun, motivation, self-discipline and self-esteem. Whether involving students in team sports or introducing them to individual pursuits, we aim to provide an athletics programme to suit every student. King’s College School students can get involved in a broad range of sporting pursuits including football, basketball, cricket, swimming and tennis. As a global school’s group, we offer an unrivalled range of opportunities for competitive sport and encourage our students by celebrating success and promoting a growth mindset in every child. While some students in each school go on to achieve national and international honours, all students benefit from the fitness, enjoyment and a life-long interest that sport can provide. The physical exercise involved also contributes to the mental alertness necessary for successful study.

Student Success

The results of our approach speak for themselves. All our schools have a reputation of academic excellence, honed through our 50-year heritage that has allowed us to craft an approach proven to be highly successful. Students joining us benefit from the uniquely developed Inspired Approach to Early Years education, building up through the worldrenowned Cambridge International Primary and Secondary curriculum and IGCSEs to the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme that is proven to be so successful in accessing the best universities in the world – a learning pathway like no other, that ensures students truly flourish and succeed. This is a world-class curriculum pathway that ensures all doors are open to our alumni as they prepare for success in the wider world. King’s College School students receive offers from the world’s top universities including the UK and US. Excellent results are just part of our ambition for our students. Parents send their children to King’s College School because they want their children to be exposed to new ideas, to have their minds stimulated, their intellectual curiosity fostered, and their creativity nurtured.
