This is a Children Book that I accomplished/ designed during 12/19-05/20. It depicted and recorded one of my most unforgettable memory in my life----my three-year overseas study life in the UK.
What stands out is my love for British culture and British people. More importantly, I want to share these with coming students, to help them fight against the fear and uncertain and feel the British culture with heart.
T
HIS IS THE STORY OF BIHONG, who started her dream from the moment she received an offer for her placement at AUB. As soon as having arrived at the AUB campus, she was fancinated by the historic and artistic significance of facilities and buildings.
S
he was squaring up for her overseas study, excited yet confused, and was wondering---where she would be going?
A
s the plane touched down, she was astonished by the breathtaking beauty through the window. She found herself filling up with imagination and excitement for the future.
A
fter she unpacked and settled, she were basking in the greatness of British culture; the one is very different from hers.
T

S

A
fter school, it was raining outside, the poor girl forgot to bring her umbrella, so she decided to use her book instead. At that moment a classmate walked to her and shared the umbrella with her. She could feel nothing but warm.
S

C

I
t was time to make new friends. With them she expanded her social networks even more, including going to the cinema and sharing salty pop-corn. Now she felt her life shining again in the UK.
H
owever, she was still struggling in studies. While doing homework, she didn’t have any idea how to do it. So she was thinking that she should have some help from others.
W
hen she felt anxious about her study, she almost lost interested in everything. However, her friends were always there and bucked up her spirit.
S
he went to school, and asked for her teachers’ help. They were more than happy to help her. Such support gave her a great advantage and she felt much more confident afterwards.
A
fter the tutorial, she felt relieved and proud, and decided to share such joy with someone else. When she passed the pets store, she decided to bring a hamster home to remind herself that on her way to grow up she will not be alone ever.
I
n her free time she played with her hamster, confiding her troubles in her.
A
fter receiving help and love from teachers and friends, she felt full of warmth, and wanted to help others in need: she chose to go to a charity shop to donate things.
S

T

S
itting with Leo, made Bihong very happy. Both of them like to travel, they enjoyed the great landscape though the train’s window. They saw sheep in the meadows, the white clouds in the sky, and everything was natural, smooth, and beautiful.
W

D

T
ime flies quickly, in a twinkle of an eye, they finished the study and graduated. In the final day of their semester, they wore the academic dress and stood in the front of the teaching building, and threw the trencher cup to the sky to express their feeling of joy.
A

T
he day of the departure had come: Bihong and Leo flew home to China. Both their hearts were filled with joy with the thought of returning home, but also sadness for leaving this beautiful island. Everything that happened in the last three years was like a fascinating dream. On their way back, they talked about nothing but the precious memories of the life in the UK.
F
inally Bihong went back to her home, and started her new life in China. She could not forget her experience of living in the UK. Sometimes she would dream that she were still living in the UK, studying English and visiting places of greatness.
I
n the end, she became an excellent educator who loved to help her students, just like her own teachers.
I would like to use this book to commemorate my three-year study abroad life and thank everyone who helped me during the time.
