How you can help By purchasing our merchandise or prints, sharing our social media pages to your family and friends or donating directly to any of the children’s cancer charities you will be supporting this fantastic cause! If you have any queries about supporting or taking part you can find us on Facebook, Instagram and via email as outlined below.
A little bit about us We are a team of Creative Events Management students from Arts University Bournemouth. For our final year project, we each wanted to be involved in an event that would make a difference in the community, especially to people suffering the most in the pandemic. We were all aware that children with cancer have had to shield even more strictly throughout the past year and wanted to provide them with a fun day to help escape the four walls of their home and be connected to others like themselves. We are all very passionate about this project and are very much looking forward to producing it.
As part of our fundraiser we are organising some raffles. All proceeds to this raffle will be going to our amazing chosen charities that support children and families with cancer.
Sunshine On a Cloudy Day is a free virtual fun day, where children with cancer and their siblings can tune into arts and crafts sessions, meet Disney characters, take part in singalongs and much more! We aim to support poorly children’s families, inspire creativity in children and make them feel included and a part of community. The event works with kids with cancer charities and strives to raise donations for them.

Our ethos has a pure and philanthropic intention, we want to provide a platform to improve the lives of those in our local community.
We will take every precaution to ensure the event is safe and promotes a beneficial experience for all artists, we will not personally gain anything but experience from the event, and will utilise our skills in event marketing, promotion, and management with a focus on digital for this year due to COVID restrictions and lockdown.
Through donations, crowdfunding, and merchandise sales, we aim to raise money for key event support StageHand charity and also give event professionals who are out of work and cannot perform due to the COVID-19 pandemic paid work in a safe and secure environment.
Our aim is to bring you a fresh weekly Live Stream showcasing some of the south coast’s best and brightest music brands, DJ’s, singer-songwriters, bands, etc. across all genres, culminating in a spectacular finale, a massive, live-streamed festival on 16th May to celebrate the Live Music Industry!
The South Coast Revival Festival aims to support the South Coast’s Live Event industry in any way that we can.
COVID-19 has had a deep effect on the events industry. It’s with this in mind we have created South Coast Revival FESTIVAL.

“” Creating theatre with Zoom requires imagination, patience and immense adaptability. Every AUB student has taken to the challenge like a duck to water, bringing passionate enthusiasm and a willingness to experiment to rehearsals every day. They have proven themselves well-suited for creating art in this new world; it has been an absolute pleasure working with them.

“” Without a doubt the best time I have spent learning, developing and understanding what it means to act and how to do it truthfully. I genuinely feel working with Butterfly Theatre that I am amongst friends who are supporting and guiding me to be the best me as an actor I can be. And that feels just great.
Aileen Gonsalves Artistic Director | Butterfly Theatre Company
“” It has been a joy working with AUB students, their talent, bravery, openness and extremely good natures has allowed us to create something really special and unique.
Can any of them be reconciled? Can beauty and vulnerability be allowed to flourish in both worlds as everyone chooses love? This current and relevant retelling sees Shakespeare’s famous comedy brought to life online, featuring government cronyism, Instagram influential young lovers, key worker mechanicals and love, love, love!
As a distraction from the chaos, the Prime Minister, Theseus, is arranging his wedding to wealthy young aristocrat Hippolyta. Nearby a group of key workers, once actors now delivery drivers and care home workers, rehearse a play to be performed at the wedding, hoping for a big break. A group of young lovers break quarantine and flee illegally to the woods and enter, unbeknownst to them, into the world of the fairies, whose long and bitter war is causing all the turmoil in the human world.
London, at a time in the not-too-distant future. Draconian laws like no shouting at protests, no breaking quarantine and even the death penalty have become the norm. The patriarchy’s rules are unrelenting. Young people are divided on any issue they can TikTok about, the environment, veganism, toxic masculinity. Everyone is existing in an online world of Zoom, true love and connection is nowhere to be seen...

“” This experience responds directly to the time we have spent across isolation and digital spaces over the last year and what performing through both could be. Devised by the performers, in form and content this is the most ‘of the moment’ project that we as a company have been a part of.

Together we have created a piece of visceral political theatre that demands action now. Confined to their rooms and unable to meet each other or work together in real life, the performers have superimposed their lives and spaces onto the characters and inhabitants of this fictional building. Between the 8 of them, scattered between Bournemouth, Croatia and Delhi, they’ve created the 1000 people that populate Capital Heights.
“” This is the first time we have worked at AUB and it’s been a privilege to work with these generous and talented young people. We have been looking at the J G Ballard novel ‘High Rise’ through the lens of the current housing crisis – which is decimating the future hopes of this generation. They are standing by, made impotent, as the planet caves in on itself – outvoted in every ballot that could make a difference. At what point do they stand up and scream that they’ve had enough?
Capital Heights – welcome home.
Each of the 1,000 apartments combine a masterful blend of timeless architecture and ground-breaking design. Experience the wide range of excellent facilities and spectacular views across the city – offering a better quality of life for all.

“” We are really excited to be devising a new piece with AUB students. We hope that we can offer students not only the opportunity to create something thrilling and unique to perform, but also an insightful process of practice sharing from our Associates to offer ideas and tools for them to draw on in their future careers.
Lyn Gardner Stagedoor
“” Coney are pushing at the boundaries of theatre and of technology.
Coney are BAFTA award-winning interactive theatre-makers. They create games, adventures and play where people can choose to take a meaningful part. Their work takes place anywhere that people gather: in theatres, schools, museums, on the streets and online and always follows the principles of adventure, curiosity and loveliness. In lockdown, we’ve led the charge in developing and presenting new innovative performances and experiences to connect online, across geographical distance and social isolation.
Join us as we explore what it means to be human in the context of a new world.
Whatever your budget – this superb new development is per-fect for you. The freedom to live and dream as you please with the world beneath your feet.

Joseph Hancock Leave Alone
Whilst I definitely miss rehearsing in a room in real life, there are huge lessons we can take away from working in this way and the accessibility it provides for new audiences to theatre. For me as a director, it’s a great opportunity to work with young, talented, actors and to mine their technologically savvy brains for ideas. I will of course be passing these ideas off as my own.
“” It’s fantastic to be working with the final year students at AUB. There are clear challenges to working remotely but it also opens up a whole world of creative possibilities that would not have been feasible pre-2020, and a chance to make experimental work which pushes at the seams of what is technologically possible.
Leave Alone
Folio Theatre specialises in developing and touring new plays for regional and rural audiences. Proudly based in Wiltshire, we challenge and redefine how contemporary rural living is perceived, creating new plays set in the area and championing the region’s creative talent.

Sepy Baghaei Director | #GrimmTales
#GrimmTales
“” Creating an online production with the BA (Hons) Acting students at AUB has been an opportunity for us to reflect on how we tell stories in the digital age. Stories are all around us, not only in the literal sense of the word (eg Instagram stories), but also in how we choose to present ourselves online. What do we share? How do we share it? Who are we sharing for? These are all questions we have been exploring in this new, online way of making work.
Stories featured in this new adaptation include: Cinderella | The Hare and the Hedgehog | The Mouse, the Bird, and the Sausage | The Magic Table, The Gold Donkey and The Cudgel in the Sack.
Director Sepy Baghaei’s production breathes new life into these classic stories in a digital, contemporary setting. This is a highly sensory production, embracing the many different ways we communicate in the digital age, celebrating the magic of storytelling with a good dose of dark humour thrown in.
LEAVE ALONE* follows a spirited friendship group of twenty-somethings over the course of an intoxicated evening, as they attempt to reconcile an event from their past. But as the booze is downed and secrets start to spill, starting afresh isn’t as simple as it seems.

#GrimmTales is a new adaptation of the classic stories by the Brothers Grimm, written by Hannah Treadaway, especially for AUB’s student cast.
