DAY 2
Enhancing the invisible
The idea of the inflatable structure is to define an experience of transition. From a state of free movement, not influenced by other than the bodyhugging piece of plastic, an inflation of the piece slowly pulls the limbs of the upper body to predetermined placements, interlocking the joints. Simultaneously, a inflated funnel enclosing the head, slowly emerges. Through the becoming of the funnel the face becomes a focus point for experiencing the invisible, with senses sharpened as the possibilities of movement has been removed. This piece aims to investigate the changing experience of a space - from a stage for possible movement, to an enhancement of the ephemeral qualities.
