SKETCHING OF DESIGN This structure became about connecting another group’s structure to the main street. We had to accommodate some conditions: - Our structure had to provide a sufficient pressure to inflate the other group’s structure. - The form of our structure became a tunnel from the main street, which narrows down towards group 6’s structure. - In relation to body proportions/movements you can stand in an upright position in the beginning of the structure, when you move through it from the main street, but as you move towards the end it forces you to lower yourself and crawl in order to gain access to the next structure.
THE BOTTLENECK Our construction is made of plastics pieces of different sizes. The structure is highest and widest at the entrance to the main street, which makes it the largest plastic piece. The pieces become progressively smaller in size as you move through the construction, while the structure begins to narrow in on you. The pieces have a geometric specific size. The gradually smaller pieces around you contributes to enhance the effect of the structure around you is getting smaller. When located inside the structure you walk on grass, which is similar to the main street and in the connected construction. However, there is placed a floor in form of plastic in the part of the structure, where you have to crawl in order to move forward and in to Group 6’s structure.
