The Monthly Corporate Newsletter of Intec Printing Solutions

INTEC AUSTRALIA OFFICE MARKS FURTHER EXPANSION Intec Printing Solutions is proud to announce the opening of Intec Australia as part of continuing its aggressive international expansion program!

We’ve delayed the publication of this January newsletter, to tie-in with the announcement of this huge next step in the Intec story: Welcome, Intec Australia Pty!

Headed up by Maria Gagetti, our Intec Australia Managing Director and Ryan James, Intec Australia’s Technical Director, the operations will be supported by Katrina Malone, acting as office-based support and administration. The new team spent an entire week recently, at our UK head offices, participating in intensive product training and getting to meet the UK team, cementing new and old relationships. In addition, we have Cec Dahl, who’s role will be technical support engineer.

“This is one of Intec’s most significant international expansions to date,” said Ian Melville, Intec Managing Director. “The opening of Intec Australia, based in Canberra, gives Intec market coverage across Australia and support to the Asia Pacific RIM region, reinforcing Intec’s position as a worldclass digital printer manufacturer. The expansion into Australia enables Intec to have a worldwide presence, which reaches across the globe, in conjunction with the US based offices and Headquarters in the UK.”

According to Intec Australia’s Maria Gagetti, “This is a very exciting opportunity and Intec Australia will share the same values as the rest of the organisation. We will help expand the Intec brand within Australia and with our additional resources, be able

to service clients outside of Australia.” The Intec organisation welcomes our new colleagues from down-under, and looks forward to the prospect of an exciting 2016 with them as part of the Intec team.

MAJOR UK CHEMICAL MANUFACTURER OPTS FOR Internationally acclaimed, Coventry Chemicals, has upgraded its short-run production labeling kit to the Intec LP215+ system.

After extensive research and testing, Coventry Chemicals has chosen to partner with Intec Printing Solutions, to replace its Memjet inkjet system. With their sizeable UK workforce producing a typical weekly output of 500,000 bottled products, a portfolio of global clients and five decades in business - it’s safe to say that Coventry Chemiclas know a thing or two about product labeling! “Having initially caught the eye at the 2014 Packaging Show - NEC Birminham, Intec’s LP215 saw-off stiff opposition to win the day.” said Peter Swann, Intec UK Sales Manager. “Their previous inkjet printer did not offer the superior vivid quality, sharpness and 100% color-fastness required, to keep Coventry Chemicals at the industry’s forefront. Coventry Chemicals use the LP215 for short-run labels produced for bespoke products as a niche part of the business in addition to this, they use the LP215 to supplement shortfalls in label forecasts. Demands from their customer base can fluctuate, so the instant production capability of the LP215 is used to fulfil orders which

“The quality of the Intec LP215 output, over our previous inkjet model, was a key consideration for our purchasing decision – along with label durability to light exposure and liquids.”

inPrint | January 2016 | The Intec Corporate Newsletter | The LP215 also helps reduce stock holdings too, and minimises wastage that can easily happen when production forecasts change. “The quality of the Intec LP215 output, over our previous inkjet model, was a key consideration in our purchasing decision – along with label durability to light exposure and liquids.” commented Andy Robilliard, Coventry Chemicals’ Supply Chain Manager. Given Intec’s depth of experience and relationships with key players such as UPM Raflatac, we’ve also been able to advise upon and source ideal media types for their given product applications, the strict chemical labeling guide lines and environments.

Capable of printing up to 2,000 labels per hour, onto a vast array of die-cut, matrix removed and retained media, as well as continuous roll substrates the LP215 has the versatility to take even the most demanding label jobs in its stride. Despite the wide range of options when it comes to media, Coventry Chemicals, use ‘PRE-CUT’ labels, for chemicals, and cleaning products, detergents or even trigger sprays. The labels are pre-cut to their desired shape by PPR Label media, and the matrix is ‘retained’, enabling Coventry Chemicals to bleed/print their label designs over the very edges of the label.

Following the installation of the LP215 at Coventry Chemicals, Peter Swann and James Williamson (Technical Manager), visited to provide a session of on-site training on the subjects of system calibration and also to catch up with the team and address any questions they had.
